Devon Turner | Dumont
Turner averaged 16.1 yards per carry this past weekend as he rushed 19 times for 305 yards and five touchdowns in a 57-14 victory over Snyder. The 5-foot-7, 180-pound back was impressive in the victory as he is a very patient runner who does a good job following his lead blocks. He’s got a good center of gravity and is tough to bring down at times because of how compact he runs. He scored on runs of 21, 27, 28, 31 and 45 yards.
Adam Harris | New Egypt
Harris was equally as impressive as Turner as he rushed 23 times for 304 yards and four touchdowns in New Egypts 42-14 victory over Robbinsville. This is the first time all season that Harris broke not only the 200-yard mark but also the 300-yard mark. He is a shifty back who has the ability to put his foot in the ground and cut on a dime. He’s got good vision as he’s always looking to bounce his run to the outside. He scored on runs of 8, 42, 53 and 76 yards.
Jaden Gallo Jaden Gallo RB Holmdel | 2022 NJ | Holmdel
Gallo was the third prospect who rushed for more than 300 yards this past weekend as he ran the ball 22 times for 302 yards and four touchdowns. His big performance wasn’t enough though as Holmdel fell to Colts Neck 28-27. Gallo is a physical runner who isn’t shy of contact. He’s tough to bring down and always keeps his feet moving forward. He now owns the single-season rushing record at Holmdel as he’s racked up 1,286 yards so far this season.
Zaon Laney | Rahway
Laney followed up his strong Week 8 performance with an equally as strong one in Week 9 as he rushed 35 times for 293 yards and three touchdowns in Rahway’s 40-21 victory over Hillside. He’s a shifty back who excels in stretch plays as he has the speed to get the edge. He does a good job following his blockers and using his cutback lanes. He scored on runs of 2, 40 and 65 yards.
Geoffrey Schroeder | Rumson-Fair Haven
Schroeder was a top performer in Week 4 when he rushed for 246 yards and three touchdowns. This past week he again put on a dominating performance as he rushed 24 times for 262 yards and four touchdowns in Rumson-Fair Haven’s 43-6 victory over Long Branch. He’s a north-south runner who has the strength to fend off the defense. He runs a little tall at times but he’s got the balance and agility to stay on his feet and make defenders miss. He scored on runs of 8, 13, 35 and 70 yards.
