The future Hoover Buc made a big splash this season for Bumpus Middle School on both sides of the ball. Was moved around a lot and put in motion offensively to create space. Smooth strider with phenomenal hands.
Tayshawn Edwards | Arkansas | Wide Receiver
Big play threat for the Warren Middle School Jr. Jacks every time he touches the ball. Speedster who runs past defensive backs on the regular throughout the season. Incredibly advanced body control when leaving the ground and possesses extremely reliable hands.
Skylar Robinson | California | Wide Receiver
Younger brother of 2024 USC Commit Jason Robinson and 2025 prospect Jadyn Robinson, Skylar has the potential to be the most exciting and dynamic of the three. Exceptional feet and quickness, the LA Rampage athlete is a nightmare to defend.
Colt Lumpris | Connecticut | Running Back
The son of a coach and former Temple lettermen, Lumpris could be the next big star out of Connecticut if he continues to progress. He’s 5-foot-10, 140 pounds and dominated his local youth league. The East Lyme Middle Schooler has another year to go, but is expected to head on to Cheshire Academy for high school.
Emmett Queen | Kentucky | Quarterback
QB1 for the Covington Catholic 7th grade teams, Queen led his team to the middle school championship game this season. Right hander has a ton of upside and is as fundamentally sound as they come on the 7th grade level in the country. Excited to see him add a few inches continue development.
Khyren Haywood | Minnesota | Defensive Line
Explosive and disruptive this season, playing for the Minnesota Purple Reign. Similar game to Aaron Donald in the fact that he’s an athletic, compact, interior defensive lineman that bully’s people in the trenches. At 5-foot-10 and 217 pounds, also saw time at tight end.
Furian Inferrera | Nevada | Quarterback
While extremely early, Inferrera is the top pocket passer I have seen in the class of 2027 to this point. At 6-foot-2 and 170 pounds he has a varsity-ready body with two more years to go before entering high school. Reminds me a lot of current Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei when he was in middle school. Big, strong arm who can and will kill teams if you give him time.
Broncs Baker | Utah | Running Back
The younger brother of BYU commit Easton Baker, Broncs is an absolute savage with the ball in his hands. He’s an ideal running back right now at 5-foot-10 and 150 pounds. Runs violently between the tackles and has the speed to beat defenders to the edge. Will also knock your block off as a linebacker.
Derrick Gleason | Texas | Offensive Line
Linemen at the middle school level shouldn’t have as much muscle mass as Gleason has—yet here we are. He’s as solid a lineman as you’re going to find on the 7th grade level and is one of the best run blockers I’ve seen thus far in the class. Also requires a double team as defensive tackle.
TT Gibson | North Carolina | Tight End
Putting labels on athletes this young is not something I encourage, but TT has the potential to be a scholarship player in both football and basketball. He’s a tall, long athlete at 6-foot-2 with great feet and hand eye coordination. As a tight end he’s a lot more physical than I anticipated and has a catching radius out of this world.
