Continue ReadingThe UIL Regional Playoff Round match up is set for November 27, 2021 at 7pm between Duncanville and Spring. I moved to Texas in 2015 and quickly noticed the rivalry in sports between Dallas and Houston, well Saturday night the battle continues. Duncanville is led by Head Coach Reginald Samples who has a multitude of premier athletes on his roster as does Spring Head coach Trent Miller. Todays edition I will highlight a few athletes who stocks are rising.
Ducanville Rising Stars
Dakorien Moore – (2025) – WR – 6’1″ 170lbs
A rising star in the state of Texas is Freshmen wide receiver Dakorien Moore. Moore is an explosive athlete who has the speed, agility, and hands to compliment. Last week against Mesquite, Moore had two receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown in route to a dominant performance by the Panthers. Moore has a quick first step, runs sharp routes, and creates separation with his speed. His athletic abilities has earned him offers from Tennessee, Texas Tech, and Florida to name a few. Look for Moore to have a impact this week against Spring.
Deldrick Madison – (2024) – DB 5’11″ 175lbs
Duncanville has student-athletes who are dominant on both sides of the ball. On of the dynamic athletes on the “No Fly Zone” of DBU is a young sophomore Deldrick Madison. He is a lock down corner who plays with an edge. Madison is athletic, tall, gets hands on the wide receiver, and creates turnovers. The kid is electrifying and consistently displays a high level of competitiveness. Below is his latest film displaying his overall athletic ability. Madison currently holds over 20 offers to play collegiate football.
Colin Simmons – (2024) – DE/OLB 6’1″ 210lbs
Another key component to the Panthers defense is sophomore Collin Simmons. Simmons is a versatile athlete who is capable of playing rushing defensive end or outside linebacker. He is a relentless defender who causes headaches for opposing offensive coordinators. Simmons has a great take off, the power, and agility to get around offensive tackles. He is consistent at providing pressure on quarterbacks and will cause a turnovers if Spring lacks confidence with the ball. His highlight film below shows how dominant Simmons really is.
Kadavion Dotson – (2024) – DB 5’10″ 180lbs
Dotson is another key component of the “No Fly Zone” at Duncanville. He is a ball hawking safety who can read and react with the best of them. Dotson understands his roles and responsibilities as the eyes and ears of the defense. He is fast, sheds blocks, and attacks the ball on a consistent basis. Dotson is an electrifying athlete and once the ball gets into his hands he is liable to return a turnover for a touchdown. He currently holds five offers and I believe more offers await him after the season is complete.
Spring Lions Rising Stars
Bryce Morton – (2023) – LB 6’1″ 210lbs
Morton is a fierce and relentless linebacker for the Lions. He has great speed, able to overcome, adjust, and, adapt on defense. Morton is a powerful and athletic defender who has been causing havoc in backfields. He has over 40 tackles, and eight sacks. When watching Morton he utilizes his abilities to open up the defense. This allows his teammates to engage effectively in their given responsibilities. Should be interesting to see him against Ducanville’s front line.
Elijah Fields – (2023) – OLB/DE 6’1″ 250lbs
Fields is a dominant defender who typically lines up on the opposite side of Morton. Pending defensive schemes, he could be lined up in different defensive techniques. Fields is powerful and uses his strength to shed blocks to make sound tackles. Fields has 42 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 9 QB hurries and 2 fumble recoveries this season. I think he will have one of his biggest challenges up front with Duncanville offensive linemen Jaelyn Early and Cam Williams this Saturday. The battle in the trenches should be interesting!
Jeremiah Jones Jr. – (2023) – FS 5’10″ 180lbs
The Lions have been successful this season in close games with dominance and big plays from defense. Jones is one of the secondary athletes that provides a spark for the Lions defense. He has a solid frame, quick, great transitional positioning, and tends to keep everything in front of him. This year Jones has 45 tackles, 3 pass deflections, and one fumble recovery on the season. Jones will have his hands full against Duncanville but I believe he is up for the task. Watch the dynamic and athletic safety highlight film below.
Cadyn Bradley Cadyn Bradley 5'11" | 175 lbs | WR Spring | 2022 State TX – (2022) – WR 6’0″ 185lbs
I couldn’t help but notice a premier athlete from the class of 2022 Cadyn Bradley Cadyn Bradley 5'11" | 175 lbs | WR Spring | 2022 State TX . He is a talented wide receiver with great speed, agility, and hands. This season Bradley totaled for 55 receptions,1052 yards receiving, and 13 touchdowns. I believe this will be a key to Springs success versus Duncanville young but talented defensive backs. I’m looking forward to the game between two dominant programs and the platform for these rising stars to display their athletic abilities.
