Caldwell showed a lot of heart and fire power to capture a victory over Jefferson 42-21 which took place at MetLife Stadium. Caldwell captured the North Group 2 state final and will finish their season undefeated at (12-0).

Jr., WR/DB Harry Boland Harry Boland 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB Caldwell | 2023 State NJ , Caldwell
Mr. Jefferson dominated all over the field and scored the first touchdown of the game. He carried the ball 9 times for 102 yards and 2 TDs. Also, caught 3 passes for 32 yards and a score. Defensively, Boland picked off two passes and had 14 tackles. Boland will head into the offseason with a ton of confidence. After a great junior year, it will be interesting to see how his senior season unfolds.
Sr., RB/LB Pat Capozzoli , Caldwell
Mr. Capozzoli rushed 14 times for 106 yards and two TDs to lead Caldwell to a massive rushing attack. Capozzoli has rushed for multiple touchdowns six times this season. Standing at 5’5″ 140 , he plays bigger than what he is. He is fearful and is quick and shifty with the ball in his hands.
Sr., WR/DB Peter Murray , Caldwell
Murray had 6 tackles and interception that he returned 43 yards for a touchdown. Also, caught 3 passes for 21 yards. Murray has great size and skill set to play at the next level. He does a great job recognizing plays and reacting quickly. Murray should expect to have more college interests within the next few weeks.
Sr., QB Eric Garv , Jefferson
Mr. Garv has been a backup most of the season but was originally a wide receiver. Standing at 6’4″ 195 he made the switch to QB to help his team. Even though, Jefferson came up short on the title, Garv has a done a tremendous job leading the offense under center. Garv went 26 of 44 for 322 yards and 2 TDs to finish the game but had four costly interceptions.
Sr., WR Theo Fisher, Jefferson
Mr. Jefferson was a big target for Garv. Fisher caught 8 passes for 113 yards and 2 TDs. He scored the first touchdown for Jefferson to keep them in the game. Fisher has been a reliable target all year for Jefferson. He finished the season with 44 receptions for 578 yards and 6 TDs for the year.
