Sr., Steven Burkhardt , Gloucester
Mr. Burkhardt had an outstanding performance to help lead his team to victory over New Egypt 21-14. Burkhardt had 26 carries for 253 yards and 2 TDs. He is a strong and physical runner who is tough to bring down. Burkhardt has a high motor and is on the way for a 2,000 yard season. He currently has 1,729 yards and 27 TDs. Burkhardt will carry on this terrific against Paulsboro Friday night in the South Jersey Group 1Semifinals.
Sr., Theodore Lockhart, Woodbury
Mr. Lockhart carried the team on his back to a 20-3 win over Maple Shade. Lockhart had 29 carries for 155 yards and 3 TDs. He scored all over Woodbury’s touchdowns. Lockhart isn’t the biggest of backs but his speed and athleticism are off the charts. Lockhart is the glue that holds this team together and without him Woodbury probably would not be undefeated. He will build off this strong performance heading into the second round. Woodbury will take on Pennsgrove in the South Jersey Group 1 Semifinals.
So., James Hill, Woodstown
Mr. Hill dominated as Woodstown rolled over Middlesex. Hill had 11 carries for 152 yards and 2 TDs. Hill is a young back who is no stranger to the varsity level. He has surpassed 1,000 yards this season and averaging 115 yards per game. Hill has tremendous upside for years to come. He can arguably be one of the top backs in the state when his high school career is said and done. With that being said, Hill will look to continue playing at high level. Woodstown will face Shore in the South Jersey Group 1 Semifinal Friday night.
Fr., Lotzeir Brooks Lotzeir Brooks 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR Millville | 2025 State NJ , Millville
Mr. Brooks is a dynamic playmaker who already holds numerous offers. Brooks helped lead his team to a dominate win over Toms River South 58-0. Brooks had 2 receptions for 60 yards and an interception returned for a touchdown. It is exciting to see how Brooks’ high school career will unfold. He is very versatile and he will only get better. Millville will take on Pennsauken in the South Jersey Group 4 Semifinals on Friday night.
Sr., Turner Inge Turner Inge 5'11" | DB Williamstown | 2022 NJ , Williamstown
The Villanova commit continues to get it done. Inge had a big day against Southern. He rushed for 218 yards on 27 carries and 3 TDs. Inge currently has 1,436 yards and holds the single-season rushing record in program history. Williamstown will take on undefeated Hillsborough in the South Jersey Group 5 Semifinals Friday night.
