Kaleb Lusanga – Marian – RB – 5’10″ 170 lbs
Anytime Lusanga steps on the field he’s going to make plays. Friday was no different and he made plays all night. On the first drive of the game, he took Marian right down the field and scored a TD. He broke 2 tackles and dove over the endzone for the score. He rushed for over 150-yards and 2 TDs on the night as Marian rolled past Jimtown.
Alec Hardrict – Penn – RB – 5’8″ 170 lbs
Hardrict was fantastic on Friday. He made one of the best plays we’ve seen all year. He caught a pass over the middle, made the entire defense miss, weaved back across the field, broke another tackle, and then hit the jets. Hardrict raced for 95-yards after the catch and scored a TD on the play. Hardrict had over 200 scrimmage yards on the night as Penn got the win.
Justin Fisher Justin Fisher 6'2" | 210 lbs | ATH Mishawaka | 2022 State IN – Mishawaka – QB – 6’2″ 200 lbs
Fisher had a typical Fisher-like performance. The Star QB did everything he could on Friday. He moved Mishawaka right down the field on the first drive of the night and scored a TD. He made a handful of great throws and extended plays with his legs. He also rushed for multiple first downs when things collapsed around him. He had over 300 scrimmage yards and 3 TDs on the night.
Giovani Laurent – Michigan City – WR – 6’2″ 170 lbs
Laurent got the hot hand on Friday and they force-fed him the ball. He was using his frame to his advantage and was making every catch that came his way. He caught their first TD of the night as he went up and plucked it out of the air right over his defender. He caught 7 passes on the night for over 100-yards and the TD on the night as Michigan City got the win and will move on.
Marshall Kmiecik – New Prairie – QB – 6’0″ 160 lbs
Kmiecik had his best game of the year when they needed it most. He stepped up and everything he did was working. His rushing ability killed the defense all night. Anytime they ran the option the defense bit so hard it would leave him huge running lanes. The defense loaded the box and then he started killing them with his arm. He had over 350 scrimmage yards and 4 TDs on the night as New Prairie blew the doors off South Bend St. Joesph.
