S. Alamance v. Panther Creek Defensive Highlights

I was on the sidelines for the First Round Playoff Game to watch S. Alamance running attack versus Panther Creek passing attack.  There were impressive performances throughout the game by the players listed: <strong>Logan Fouts, FS, 5’10" 170, S. Alamance HS</strong>.  Logan displayed good reaction to the ball and good speed in the open field to close quickly to stop the play.  He had an interception on the first play of the game.  Logan plays at a high-energy level and is the leader of the defensive secondary.  Logan Fouts had several solo tackles and assisted on several tackles. <strong>Jordan Harless, CB, 5’9" 160, S. Alamance HS</strong>.  Jordan displayed good lateral movement and speed to cover ground quickly to stop the play.  He displayed good technique and reaction to the ball.  Jordan assisted on several tackles throughout the game. <strong>Wesley Smith, DE, 6’2" 220, S. Alamance HS</strong>.  Wesley was quick out of his stance to make contact with blockers to stop the play.  He displayed good footwork and use of hands to control blockers.  Wesley Smith made solo tackles and assisted on several tackles. <strong>Kenyon Parrish, DT, 5’11" 240, S. Alamance HS</strong>.  Kenyon displayed good technique and footwork to control blockers and stop the play.  He displayed quickness out of his stance to move past blockers to pressure the quarterback.  Kenyon made several solo tackles and assisted on several tackles. <strong>Gregory Wheeless, LB, 6’2" 210, Panther Creek HS</strong>.  Gregory displayed good speed and lateral movement to close quickly to stop the play.  He read the plays and had good reaction to the plays.  Gregory Wheeless made several solo tackles and assisted on several tackles. <strong>Jake Ganoe, DE, 6’3" 240, Panther Creek HS</strong>.  Jake displayed quickness out of his stance to make contact with blockers to stop the play.  He displayed good use of hands and technique to control blockers.  Jake Ganoe made some good open-field tackles and assisted on several tackles. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="144720" first="Tyler" last="Thompson"], DE, 6’6" 203, Panther Creek HS</strong>.  Tyler was quick out of his stance to make contact with blockers to make the stop.  He displayed good use of hands and speed to move past blockers into the backfield.  [player_tooltip player_id="144720" first="Tyler" last="Thompson"] was constantly pressuring the quarterback, resulting in a sack. <strong>Hayden Minter, DT, 6’1" 270, Panther Creek HS</strong>.  Hayden displayed good footwork and strength to control blockers to stop the play.  He moved well in the open field to stop the ball carrier.  Hayden Minter made several solo tackles and assisted on several tackles. <strong>Justin Smith, DT, 6’2" 240, Panther Creek HS</strong>.  Justin displayed good footwork and technique to control blockers to make the stop.  He displayed good lateral movement and quickness in tight spaces.  Justin Smith made several tackles and assisted on several tackles. &nbsp;
