Malachi Singleton Malachi Singleton 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB North Cobb | 2023 State GA – QB – North Cobb
One of the top 2023 QBs in the South, Singleton has been almost unstoppable this season, rushing and throwing through defenses all season. A dynamic, dual-threat QB, Singleton was outstanding as a runner this fall as a junior, rushing for over 750 yards and 17 touchdowns in 9 games during the regular season. He’s still developing as a passer and growing there, throwing for close to 2,000 yards and 16 touchdowns through the air. He’s improved as a passer and has shown he can beat times with his arm. He’s going to be tough to handle for any team in the playoffs as his dynamic skillset and ability to take care of the football has been excellent this season.
Robbie Roper Robbie Roper 6'3" | 210 lbs | QB Roswell | 2022 State GA – QB – Roswell
It’s a shame that a single D1 school hasn’t taken a chance on Roper yet. One of the top senior QBs in the area, Roper is having an excellent senior season and has shown the ability to make big plays with his arm down the field. He moves well in the pocket, he’s mobile, and he can accurately throw on the run. He can turn a broken play into a big one and absolutely has the talent to play somewhere at the next level. He’s missed some time during the year to an injury, but so far this season, Roper has thrown for just under 2,500 yards and 33 touchdowns. He’s also rushed for 358 yards and three more touchdowns.
De’Nylon Morrissette De’Nylon Morrissette 6'1" | 200 lbs | WR Brookwood | 2022 State GA – WR – North Cobb
One of the top overall offensive playmakers in the state, the four-star receiver and future Georgia Bulldog went on a tear in the 2nd half of the season after recovering from an injury. In just 7 games during the regular season, Morrissette caught 49 passes for 800 yards and 10 touchdowns. A possession receiver at 6-foot-1 200-pounds, Morrissette has the ball skills necessary to play at a high level, and he’s faster than most realize. Arguably the best wide receiver in the state, Morrissette is going to be tough to cover for any defensive back across from him over the next few weeks.
Ethan Nation Ethan Nation 6'0" | 170 lbs | DB Roswell | 2023 State GA – ATH – Roswell
Nation is a ball-hawking cornerback who plays a lot bigger than his size at 6-foot-0 170-pounds. He can jump out of the gym and has some of the best ball skills you’ll find from any defensive back in the state. The impressive 2023 DB didn’t see many passes come his way this season after picking off passes just about every week last year. He knows how to locate the football in the air as well as anyone in his class and showed he’s an excellent weapon on offense as well, catching 44 passes for 560 yards and 10 touchdowns as a pass-catcher.
Marquis Groves-Killebrew Marquis Groves-Killebrew 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB Brookwood | 2022 State GA – DB – North Cobb
One of the top senior defensive backs in the state, Groves-Killebrew is a true cover-corner with impressive length and overall speed. The 6-foot-1 180-pounder can cover bigger receivers and is fast enough to stay with smaller, speedy receivers. He’s made 31 tackles this season and has picked off two passes. He’s also a threat in the return game due to his speed and athleticism. Look for him to get some reps on offense throughout the playoffs as well. He was named an All-American this year and should see lots of opportunities to touch the ball for the remainder of the playoffs. Groves-Killebrew is slated to play cornerback at the University of Georgia.
Joshua Josephs – EDGE – North Cobb
The big linebacker/Edge defender is extremely long in the arms and has a great frame at 6-foot-4 230-pounds and he’s still adding more weight and muscle. He’s an outstanding pass rusher due to his length and explosiveness off the edge, sacking the QB six times while adding 97 total tackles and an impressive 20 TFLs. He’s an intimidating defender and coming off a big junior season where he terrorized the QB on a weekly basis. He holds offers from Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee, among others.
