In what was a great weekend for the Arkansas Razorbacks on the field, the Hogs also made some waves off of the field. Sam Pittman and his coaching staff continue to do an impressive job of recruiting the Natural State. One Arkansas commit will have the opportunity to see the field quickly in the form of Fayetteville wide receiver Isaiah Sategna Isaiah Sategna 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR Fayetteville | 2022 State AR and the other commit Arkansas will have to wait a few years on, but it will be worth it in the form of Hot Springs Lakeside running back Braylen Russell Braylen Russell 6'2" | 190 lbs | RB Benton | 2024 State AR .
We start things off with a look at Fayetteville wide receiver Isaiah Sategna Isaiah Sategna 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR Fayetteville | 2022 State AR . The speed that Isaiah Sategna Isaiah Sategna 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR Fayetteville | 2022 State AR has is extremely rare on the football field. He has world class Olympic type speed, and he is not just a sprinter attempting to play football. However, Sategna’s hands do not get enough credit, he can catch the ball and leave opposing defensive backs trailing behind him. What he brings to the Arkansas Razorbacks is a wide receiver that can stretch the field and provide some speed for opposing SEC defensive coordinators to worry about. It would not come as a surprise to see the Fayetteville wide receiver to earn plenty of playing time next season.
Turning our attention to the class of 2024. Hot Springs Lakeside running back Braylen Russell Braylen Russell 6'2" | 190 lbs | RB Benton | 2024 State AR is a running back that is just starting to tap into an amazing amount of potential. Russell has that rare mix of speed and power that you do not see out of most running backs. The scary thing about Russell is that he is just getting started and he is going to continue improve with each season he plays. Russell is a player that has a nose for the end zone, and he has done an impressive job of finding it this season. The Arkansas Razorbacks did a great job of identifying him early in the recruiting process and earn his commitment. The 2024 class is off to a great start with the commitment of Russell.
Securing the commitments of the instate has been a high priority for the Arkansas coaching staff and that has become clear over the past few days.
