The state of Arkansas has plenty of great matchups all over the state and it is sure to be an exciting playoff culminating in the state title games at War Memorial Stadium.
Little Rock Catholic vs Rogers:
The Rogers Mounties have had an incredibly impressive 2021 regular season. The Mounties finished the 2021 regular season with an 8-2 record and plenty of momentum heading into the state playoffs. Running back Josh Shepherd Josh Shepherd 5'11" | 170 lbs | RB Rogers | 2022 State AR has had a terrific season against 7-A West competition. Meanwhile, Little Rock Catholic’s quarterback Preston Scott Preston Scott 6'3" | 185 lbs | QB Little Rock Catholic | 2022 State AR has had an impressive season for the Rockets, and he will look to get going against the Mounties on Friday night.
Monticello vs Stuttgart:
One of the more intriguing matchups is taking place in Stuttgart on Friday night. Monticello travels to Stuttgart to take on a talented Ricebirds team. Pulaski Academy and Harrison is usually a matchup we see a week or two later in the playoffs. However, this should be a fun game to watch this week. The Little Rock Christian Warriors are always in the running for a state championship. However, to achieve that goal the road will put in front of them an explosive Vilonia team. This matchup has two great quarterbacks to watch. This game should come right down to the wire on Friday night.
