The newcomers that are added all have impressed coaches and scouts with solid performances over the summer and in games over the fall. In this article, we are going to focus on several newcomers that have been added to the Prep RedZone Arkansas 2023 November edition of the rankings.
P’caylin Carter P’caylin Carter 6'1" | 185 lbs | RB Palentstine-Wheatly | 2023 State AR -Running Back-Palenstine-Wheatly
Carter is one of those running backs that is extremely versatile. He does a good job of identifying the rushing lane and allowing his blockers to clear a path. Carter is quick enough to cut the run to the outside, however, he can also just run over the opposing defender. Carter probably fits more of an athlete description due to his versatility, but I like what he brings to the running game. He has the potential to blow up over the next few months.
Kenan Snead Kenan Snead 6'0" | 170 lbs | LB Heber Springs | 2023 State AR -Linebacker-Heber Springs
One player that has the potential to be a star over the next two seasons is Kenan Snead Kenan Snead 6'0" | 170 lbs | LB Heber Springs | 2023 State AR . Snead was all over the field this season for Heber Springs. He is a linebacker that plays with terrific quickness and is never out of the play. Snead has displayed a nose for the football, and he gives Heber Springs a player that they can lean on, on both sides of the ball. Snead is going to be a player to watch out for during the offseason as well as next season.
Taylor Baker Taylor Baker 6'2" | 310 lbs | OL Harrison | 2023 State AR -Offensive Line-Harrison
The Harrison Goblins always seem to produce quality offensive linemen and Taylor Baker Taylor Baker 6'2" | 310 lbs | OL Harrison | 2023 State AR fits that description perfectly. Baker plays with impressive quickness along the offensive line, and he is a quick player. Baker has quick feet, and he is a player that can keep opposing defensive linemen off-balance with his speed and power. With the level of quality offensive linemen, the state of Arkansas produces, Baker is one player to keep an eye on over the next few months.
Sebastian Gaona Sebastian Gaona 5'11" | 155 lbs | WR Charleston | 2023 State AR -Wide Receiver-Charleston
Gaona is a wide receiver that has the speed and route running ability to shake opposing defensive backs. He does a good job looking the ball and does not have careless drops or turnovers. Charleston never seems to have a shortage of talented players on the offensive side of the ball and Gaona is another player to keep an eye on that suits up for the Tigers. Look for Gaona to have a big 2022 football season.
Justin Crutchmer Justin Crutchmer 5'11" | 180 lbs | RB Lake Hamilton | 2023 State AR -Running Back-Lake Hamilton
The Lake Hamilton Wolves always have talented running backs in the offensive backfield and Crutchmer is one of those backs that star in the Wolves rushing attack. Crutchmer is a patient running back that allows the rushing lanes to develop. He is a runner that has a second gear in the open field. Crutchmer will not be brought down on initial contact and opposing defenses have to bring two or three players to bring him down. Crutchmer is another 2023 prospect that has the potential to play on Saturdays in the future.
