Jacobs Sconza | River Dell
Sconza has had a monster season as he has now thrown for more than 2,600 yards and 26 touchdowns on the season. In Week 1 of the playoffs he completed 24 of 35 passes for 285 yards and four touchdowns in River Dell’s 39-26 victory over Vernon. He threw touchdown passes of 3, 37, 50 and 54 yards. Sconza picked apart the Vernon defense with short and intermediate throws. He makes quick reads and gets the ball out to his receivers in a hurry.
Dominick Verducci Dominick Verducci 5'11" | RB Parsippany Hills | 2022 NJ | Parsippany Hills
Verducci followed up a top performance from a week ago where he threw for 248 yards and two touchdowns by throwing for 325 yards and two touchdowns in a 21-13 victory over North Plainfield. Verducci is a dual-threat who makes good reads at the mesh point and has good vision to find the seam when running. He threw touchdown passes of 6 and 56 yards and also scored a rushing touchdown from a yard out in the 2nd quarter.
Robert (Champ) Long | St. Peter’s Prep
The junior had his best game of the season so far as he completed 18 of his 31 pass attempts for 316 yards and five touchdowns. His big day from the pocket helped St. Peter’s Prep defeated Pope John by a score of 35-2. Long is a dual-threat who does a good job anticipating the pressure from the defense. He isn’t afraid to tuck the ball and run when the pocket breaks down. He showcases above-average arm strength and does a good job getting his shoulders square when on the move. He threw touchdown passes of 15, 22, 43, 49 and 54 yards.
John Lembo | Lyndhurst
Lembo hit a few big throws this past weekend as he did a nice job stepping up in the pocket and leading his receiver on go-routes. He once again showcased above-average arm strength by throwing on the move and across his body. He completed 16 of 22 passes for 308 yards and three touchdowns in a 30-28 loss to Pequannock This is the second time that the talented signal-caller has been featured in our Weekly Top Performers list as he was featured in Week 8.
Enzo Arjona Enzo Arjona 6'0" | QB Northern Highlands | 2022 State NJ | Northern Highlands
Arjona helped Northern Highlands improve to 10-0 on the season as he completed 11 of 19 passes for 304 yards and six touchdowns. He also rushed five times for 34 yards and a score. Arjona has the arm strength to fit the ball into tight windows and the touch to get the ball over the second level of the defense on intermediate to deep throws.
