Lena-Winslow did what Lena-Winslow does by pounding the rock and drove downfield inside the 20 before they fumbled in the redzone giving Carrollton the ball back. On their next drive, Jake Zeal takes the handoff and gets vertical quickly bursting past the 2nd level of defenders putting Lena-Winslow on the board 6-0 (6:21 left in 1st). Lena-Winslow would again get into the endzone but has another turnover, this time an INT by Gus Coonrad (1:00 left in 1st). #21 Jake Zeal 5’10 160 23’ RB Twitter
Mr. Zeal has a quick initial burst through the line of scrimmage which he used to get into the endzone. This pairs with his next gear that he uses to get past the 2nd level of defenders. When in open space, he’s elusive where he can make not one but two defenders miss gaining extra yards. This young man made the most out of his opportunities on the day, definitely a player to keep an eye on next season in his senior campaign.

#43 Marey Roby 5’10 175 22’ RB/DB Twitter
Mr. Roby had himself one heck of a game on both sides of the ball. On offense, he has the vision to find the running lanes between the tackles quickly and changes his gears in an instant. He has that next gear to blow by the 2nd level of defenders. If by chance the running lane gets clogged up, he uses quick jump cuts showcasing his shiftiness and is elusive to make defenders miss in open space. I don’t believe I’ve seen a back all season that has the body control that this young man has. He’s able to stop on a dime and accelerate quickly as well as put his hand in the ground to stay up as he’s falling to the ground gaining extra yards on the play On defense, he had an INT to close out the first half and did a good job staying on the receiver’s hip pocket when in coverage.

#29 Brody Mahon 6’3 197 22’ LB Twitter
Mr. Mahon triggers downhill quickly in close space and can do the same on the edge to make the tackle for no gain on the play. This young man does a good job of working gap to gap as he patiently awaits to commit to a hole as the opposing ball carrier hasn’t decided which one to hit. When coming on a blitz, he’s able to get pressure on the quarterback and got to him on a blindside sack in a crucial time late in the game.

#77 Tyler Croatt 6’3 260 22’ OL
Mr. Croatt latches on quickly when run blocking, when he does so he can do a few different actions. These are washing the defensive lineman down, drive blocking downfield or reach blocking to create a running lane for this teammate. He does a good job finishing plays by being aggressive at the point of attack and playing through the whistle.

#2 Kyle Leonard Kyle Leonard 6'3" | 180 lbs | WR Carrollton | 2022 State IL 6’2 175 22’ WR Twitter
Mr. Leonard came into this game with 42 receptions for 726 yards and 12 TDs. This young man attacks the ball at the highest point to come down with the contested catch. He’s able to win his route downfield by utilizing leverage by getting to the defender’s toes and creating enough room for him to go up for the 50/50 balls downfield. In the run game, he stalk blocks downfield.

#13 Grant Pohlman 6’1 210 22’ QB/LB Twitter
Mr. Pohlman is a mobile quarterback that can scramble and has the next gear to blow by 2nd level of defenders. His legs are a legit threat to the opposing defense as he’s able to make something out of nothing in an instant as well as weaving in & out of defenders in open space. He’s able to make level 2 throws between the linebackers/safety and puts touch on the ball. On defense, he triggers downhill in close space to make the tackle at the line of scrimmage.
