De La Salle vs Traverse City Central, a dream matchup and frankly, the most likely matchup from when the playoffs began until now. Now, let’s take a quick look at some players to watch.
De La Salle
QB Brady Drogosh Brady Drogosh 6'5" | 205 lbs | QB De La Salle | 2023 State MI
Drogosh has been lights out this season, especially in the playoffs. He leads the offense well as a pro-style quarterback and is able to sling it at any part of the field. Drogosh has over 1000 yards passing this season and looks to keep this up against a very good Traverse City Central secondary.
DE Mason Muragin Mason Muragin 6'4" | 245 lbs | DL De La Salle | 2023 State MI
Perhaps the best defensive end in the championships, Muragin looks to be a force off the edge against an exceptional run game. His speed/finesse moves are some of the best I’ve seen, and once he gets off the edge he gets to the quarterback within a second. It’s going to be incredibly interesting to see him possibly go against Kadyn Warner.
G Kadin Featherstone Kadin Featherstone 6'2" | 265 lbs | OL De La Salle | 2022 State MI
The 6’2 260lb senior has been playing great all season, and looks to lead the offensive line to a big win tomorrow. He’s got great power and can outmuscle just about anyone facing off against him. He also shows the ability to get to the second level and pull effectively.
Traverse City Central
QB/MLB Joshua Burnham Joshua Burnham 6'3" | 205 lbs | LB Traverse City Central | 2022 State MI
Burnham’s game is no secret, and the offense and defense revolve around him. Yet, nobody has been able to stop him this season. At quarterback, he runs the offense well and makes smart decisions while being an absolute truck. At linebacker, he leads the defense acting as a ball-seeking missile every single play.
The D2 recruit has been great as of late, and looks to raise his stock against a team that loves to throw it deep. He had an interception that he returned all the way to the 2 yard line last week against South Lyon, and is a player with generally high awareness and football IQ. I will be watching Bourdo very closely tomorrow.
Warner works hard, plays hard, and performs incredibly well on game day. He had multiple pancakes last week and looks to keep up this hot streak having been a 3-year starter. Fundementals and power are his strengths, and I will be watching closely to see how he does against the elite De La Salle D Line which includes DE Mason Muragin Mason Muragin 6'4" | 245 lbs | DL De La Salle | 2023 State MI .
