Continue ReadingWith the regular season behind us, we can start to focus more on the playoffs as well as signing day for the 2022 class. With most of the top ten already committed, we can browse those top 200 players and go down the list while we await commitments to their respective universities. This class has a lot of depth at most positions, with some positions even having multiple nationally recognized talents. It’s always interesting to see the last minute offers that players will get after successful senior seasons. Players prove every season that it’s never too late to out-play your recruitment and get recognition, and theres no doubt that will prove true in the coming months.
The class of 2022 has certainly not disappointed in terms of big time names and performances as well as some of the top 100 players who have only moved up the rankings as the season has gone on. Seniors like Johnson, Rowser, and VanSumeren set the bar high for this group and it has only gone higher as we get closer to signing day.
With the playoffs entering the second round this coming Friday, theres going to be some big time performances that can propel a team to a victory. If you want more college recognition, make the playoffs your most dominant stretch of the season. Heres a look at some of the top seniors that remain on the recruiting trail as we await their decision.
Andy Hartman Andy Hartman 6'5" | 250 lbs | OL Grand Blanc | 2022 State MIThe 6’6 250 offensive tackle out of Grand Blanc High School impressed on film in the 2021 season. He matches his big frame with his dominant strength to take edge rushers out of the play. His raw talent and size combined with having the opportunity to take advantage a division one weight room/regiment will have Hartman primed to compete right away in college.
Caiden Sloan Caiden Sloan 5'11" | 195 lbs | RB Macomb Dakota | 2022 State MIIt’s shocking to see one of the best playmakers in the state still uncommitted to a university. Sloan was arguably a top ten playmaker in the state this season from what I’ve seen, with big plays becoming a weekly thing for the senior. Sloan will be looking to lead Dakota to a state title game while he awaits more collegiate offers. We are just simply not talking about the tough, shifty senior enough.
Myles Walton Myles Walton 5'11" | 180 lbs | DB Muskegon | 2022 State MIWalton is usually the best athlete on the field in every game he plays in. The cornerback/wide receiver plays both positions well and is a fierce competitor. The three sport athlete shows his versatility on tape, being able to make cuts and turn at full speed with balance and composure. Offers from Western Michigan, Central Michigan, and Buffalo currently occupy his resume, and with continued playmaking in the playoffs, there is sure to be other offers coming his way.
Camren May Camren May 6'5" | 255 lbs | OL Detroit Southeastern | 2022 MIMay was one of the first players I scouted from the 2022 class when I was hired at Prep Redzone. I enjoy watching young offensive and defensive lineman because there are things that they have the ability to do that can just make you shake your head at the screen. You can’t teach instincts and awareness, which are two things that the young offensive lineman does well. May has impressive traits with his game, a big reason why he has 8 collegiate offers from schools like Grand Valley State and Central Michigan.
Be on the lookout for the updated 2022, 2023, 2024 rankings as well as an early 2025 watch list in December!
