Blaze Berlowitz

State
OK
– 2023 Quarterback – Cushing
14-22 | 264 Yards | 3 Touchdowns | 5 Carries | 50 Yards | 2 Touchdowns
Cushing quarterback Blaze Berlowitz Blaze Berlowitz 6'3" | 195 lbs | QB Cushing | 2023 State OK makes his return to the Top Performer list as he’s been a part of these probably more times than not at this point. He was at it again as Cushing continued their dominance in week seven. He threw for 264 yards and three touchdowns while also adding 50 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Berlowitz and the Tigers have completely bounced back from a tough loss in week four to Tuttle. They’ve held on to their spot right behind the top ranked Tigers at #2 and these two district foes could be on a crash course for a rematch with the state championship on the line. However, Cushing has a big test this week with Blanchard coming to town.
Boyce McIntosh

OK
– 2022 Quarterback – Community Christian
36-56 | 399 Yards | 3 Touchdowns | 24 Carries | 187 Yards | 2 Touchdowns
Perhaps the best overall offensive stat line we’ve seen all year belongs to Community Christian senior quarterback Boyce McIntosh Boyce McIntosh 6'1" | 200 lbs | QB Community Christian | 2022 State OK . Community Christian rolled to a big win over Christian Heritage and the senior QB had an unbelievable night in producing for this offense. He threw nearly 60 passes for just shy of 400 yards and three touchdowns. As if that wasn’t enough, he also added 24 carries for 187 yards and two more touchdowns. Community Christian has to be considered a dark horse for a serious playoff run in Class 2A this season. And with McIntosh having that kind of production, it’s going to take a lot to slow them down and keep them from making a deep run.

OK
– 2022 Athlete – Oklahoma Christian School
324 Total Yards | 3 Touchdowns | 11 Tackles | 2 Interceptions
He was one of the breakout stars from last year and has OCS right there in the championship contender discussion in Class 2A. Collin Matteson Collin Matteson 6'0" | 180 lbs | WR Oklahoma Christian School | 2022 State OK continues to show why he’s one of the best two-way players in the state and did it again on Friday night in a win over Luther. Matteson finished with over 300 total yards and three touchdowns in the win. On defense, he finished with 11 tackles and two interceptions. Matteson is near the very top of the list when it comes to players who have an impact on offense or defense. With some players, you get a little more of one but with Matteson, he’s JUST as important on offense as he is on defense. He continues to be one of the best overall athletes in Oklahoma.

– 2022 Athlete – Mangum
13-16 | 265 Yards | 4 Touchdowns | 15 Carries | 108 Yards | 2 Touchdowns | 1 Forced/Recovered Fumble | 1 Interception
The list of production from Mangum standout Loren Snead Loren Snead 6'3" | 160 lbs | ATH Mangum | 2022 State OK took up multiple lines on a notepad and that’s just rare. Mangum won their third straight game and has a huge district showdown with Minco looming in week eight. However, they’ll have plenty of momentum after Snead and Mangum rolled in week seven. Snead threw for 265 yards and four touchdowns while only throwing three incompletions. He also added over 100 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Then on defense, Snead had six tackles, forced a fumble, recovered a fumble and came up with an interception. Not a bad night. Reports are unconfirmed that he also drove the bus home after the shutout win.

Victory Christian | 2022

OK
– 2022 Quarterback – Victory Christian
312 Total Yards | 6 Touchdowns
It was arguably the most shocking result of week seven as Victory Christian absolutely smashed two-time defending champion Metro Christian. Victory getting the win was not the shocking part of it as they’ve pulled off several big wins already this year. However, when the final score was 62-7, we guarantee that made plenty people around the state do a double take. Leading the way for the Conquerors in the absolute rout was their senior quarterback Triton Chandler Triton Chandler 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB Victory Christian | 2022 State OK . The senior standout finished with just over 300 total yards on offense and accounted for six touchdowns. He also saw plenty of time on defense and was part of holding a tough Metro Christian offense to just seven points.
