Week 8 Game Balls: York County and Musings From Around The State

Region play continued on Friday night as we had one player who was active on both sides of the ball and a 2023 defensive back who can anticipate throws well. Here’s the Week 8 Game Balls in York County with one observation from a statewide view.

2022 Rock Hill DE/TE [player_tooltip player_id="103786" first="Luke" last="Bracey"] (@bracey_luke) was active in Friday night’s 24-20 win over Blythewood. He recorded 2 touchdowns, one that was an interception. He also blocked an extra point and a field goal.

HUDL game highlights vs. Blythewood

2022 York RB/LB [player_tooltip player_id="153267" first="RJ" last="Glasgow"] (@RivilisG) can come up and fill the alley at linebacker, but the real impact that he makes is at running back. The ability for him to fill alleys well serves him well at the running back position because he’s able to anticipate what defensive backs will do and he’ll cut at the right time to get those extra yards, and that’s what we saw Friday against Fort Mill.

HUDL game highlights vs. Fort Mill

2023 Northwestern OLB/DB [player_tooltip player_id="202765" first="Curtis" last="Wilmore"] (@wilmore_curtis) takes solid angles at the linebacker and anticipates where the throws will go well. An inside slant would’ve been completed, but he denied it with perfect timing to jar the ball loose.

Midseason HUDL highlight film

2022 Clover OL [player_tooltip player_id="200742" first="Isaac" last="Franklin"] (@IsaacFranklin13) had a nice outing in a 17-7 win over Boiling Springs this past Friday. He moved his feet well to drive the defensive linemen back at the snap of the ball and absolutely knocked someone into next week on one play we saw.

HUDL game highlight vs. Boiling Springs

2022 Catawba Ridge WR/DB [player_tooltip player_id="153256" first="Jacobie" last="Henderson"] (@cobieh10) can do it all at either position and the Marshall University commit has demonstrated that throughout the 2021 season. He can rush the passer off the edge on a blitz or stretch the field vertically on a pass play.

Updated Senior HUDL highlights

2025 Wando TE/FB [player_tooltip player_id="205794" first="Brock" last="Feinberg"] (@FeinbergBrock) fit the mold of what the Wando offense was looking to do in the I-formation this past Friday night.
