The players listed below looked like true stars in their games and gave their teams great effort. Some names you will be used to, and others are new names to become familiar with.
RB De’Monte Seymore De’Monte Seymore 5'8" | 185 lbs | RB Manvel | 2022 State TX (2022) – Manvel
Seymore showed every bit of his skill vs. Angleton last week. The vision was on point, the cuts were smooth and effective, and the power he showed to finish runs were amazing. Seymore had himself a night, carrying the ball 14 times, rushing for 196 yards, and adding 3 touchdowns to that stat line. He was a joy to watch and the athletic ability and wiggle, paired with the strength was a true standout. A physical back who will wear down a defense and look better as the game goes on.
QB Carson Roper Carson Roper 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB Klein Cain | 2022 State TX (2022) – Klein Cain
Roper put on a show vs. Klein Forest and had to let people know that he can be a dual threat quarterback. Roper was sharp on the night, delivering strikes down the seam and hitting his targets accurately on play action rollouts. Roper had to show off his wheels as well, carrying the ball 11 times for 107 yards, and going 13/18 on his passes for 221 yards with 3 touchdowns. He was just having fun on the field and delivered when the team needed.
RB Kedrick Reescano Kedrick Reescano 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB New Caney | 2023 State TX (2023) – New Caney
Reescano was one of the best players on the field last week. His strength and power just crushed the Cleveland defense, running through all arm tackles and being a force in the run game. Every run he took at least 2 to 3 defenders with him to the ground. Reescano ran for 223 yards with 5 touchdowns on 22 carries, and only through 3 quarters…
QB Jake Wright (2022) – St. Thomas Catholic
Once again Wright has made the list thanks to his accuracy and confident play. Wright was climbing the pocket throughout the night and was putting the ball on the money with his throws. Wright was calm and composed on just about every throw and it showed as he went 13/16 on the night for 373 yards with 5 touchdowns. Excellent performance out of him and the team.
RB Kendrick Bradley Kendrick Bradley 5'11" | 170 lbs | RB Klein Forest | 2022 State TX (2022) – Klein Forest
This young man gave it his all in a tough loss vs. Klein Cain. Bradley put on a display and every time he touched the ball, he was a threat to score. Bradley once again showed tremendous burst, speed, vision, and finished his runs with physicality. Bradley hit the running lanes with great explosion and was able to outrun everybody is the secondary. On the night Bradley carried the ball 23 times for an amazing 327 yards, and 2 touchdowns including a 93 yard score. I cannot rave enough about his play and will continue to do so until everybody takes notice. Bradley is a straight baller.
