Bennett Meredith Bennett Meredith 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Hoover | 2022 State AL – Hoover QB (2022)
Meredith led the Hoover Bucs to a 24-21 victory in the biggest game of the Alabama high school football season to date. Hoover knocked off the #1 Thompson Warriors to win the Class 7A Region 3 championship and finish the regular season at 10-0. Thompson came into the game on a 27 game winning streak and have won the last two 7A state titles. Meredith was sensational in the game completing 23 of 40 passes for 292 yards and 3 scores including a game-winning 81 yard drive in the final minutes. The senior continues to be an underrated QB around the area and I believe he’s going to receive more offers in the upcoming months.
Ethan Crawford – Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa QB (2023)
Crawford had another big night for Hillcrest as the Patriots dominated Bessemer City 42-0. He completed 7 of 8 passes for 256 yards and 5 touchdowns. Crawford is a 2023 QB on the rise and has 28 total touchdowns to zero interceptions on the season. The junior has already received offers from Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Maryland, among others before this season began. He has only increased his value with his play-making and decisions on the field this season. He will have a lot more offers heading his way.
Joseph Anderson – Montevallo RB (2022)
Anderson continues to be the workhorse for the Montevallo Bulldogs. The senior had 21 carries for 222 yards and three scores in a 49-14 win over Dallas County. The Bulldogs are now 7-2 on the season and have clinched the #3 playoff spot in Class 4A-Region 3. I really like his vision and physicality at the running back position. Keep your eyes on Anderson and the Montevallo Bulldogs the rest of the way.
LT Sanders – Gardendale RB (2022)
Sanders had another great performance for the Rockets in a 40-13 over Mortimer Jordan. He recorded 16 carries for 233 yards and two scores. Sanders continues to prove he is one of the most underrated running backs in the state. Every time I see him play, I come away extremely impressed. He is a complete back with exceptional vision, physicality, receiving ability, etc.
Omari Kelly Omari Kelly 6'2" | 180 lbs | ATH Hewitt-Trussville | 2022 State AL – Hewitt-Trusville WR (2022)
Kelly continues to have a special senior season with another stellar performance Friday night against Oak Mountain. The Auburn commit recorded 5 receptions for 164 yards and three touchdowns in the 28-7 win. Kelly eclipsed 1,000 yards for the season and 2,000 for his career during the game. He is a big play threat every time he touches the ball. I’m excited to see how he finishes up his final high school season for a very talented Huskies team.
