New prospects are making a name for themselves each week and some of the state’s top prospects are proving why they are some of the very best across the country. We saw some big performances across the state in week 6 in one of the biggest regular season weeks of the season.
Here are some top performances across the state from week 7…
Will Hardy Will Hardy 6'2" | 190 lbs | WR Greater Atlanta Christian School | 2022 State GA – ATH – GAC
We’ve written about him a lot this year, and for good reason. One of the top athletes in all of Gwinnett County, Hardy is a do-it-all athlete who makes plays in every part of the game. He’s an outstanding receiver, defensive back, and a special teams star, proving why he’s a D1 prospect. He had his biggest game this past weekend as he continued to make plays in every phase of the game. Hardy intercepted two passes on defense and took one back for a touchdown. He also forced two fumbles on defense, returned one for a touchdown, and made 7 tackles. He also turned around and made 166 total yards in the game. He’s a true playmaker and game-changer who can make a big play no matter where ehe’s lined up.
Bryce Hicks – RB – Carrollton
The Trojans are coming off a gigantic win this past weekend against a tough South Paulding team and put up 40 points in the contest. The player of the game? IT had to be Bryce Hicks after his 171-yard, two touchdown performance. Just a sophomore, Hicks ran through the South Paulding defense with ease, rushing the ball just 19 times to get those 171 yards. He was slippery and broke tackles all night, especially on his 47-yard scamper for a score. He does a nice job of bursting through the hole and can be dangerous in the open field. He showed good balance and the ability to put his team on his back. He also showed soft hands out of the backfield on a screen pass he took for a score. He also ended the night with 59 receiving yards.
Ousmane Kromah – RB – Lee County
One of the biggest breakout running backs across the state, the big, powerful freshman had a monster game this pas weekend as he rushed for over 300 yards and three touchdowns. A physical specimen already at 5-foot-11 180-pounds, Kromah is a tough back who is running like one of the state’s best. He’s built well, strong, and he’s becoming more and more of a true back by the week. Against North Miami Beach (FL) this past weekend, Kromah ran wild and showed that he was one of the best players on the field. He ran hard up the middle and showed an impressive 2nd gear for someone his size and in the open field. He breaks tackles with ease already and has all the makings of a possible 5-star down the road. He’s big, strong, and has his best football ahead of him. He’s already had multiple monster games as a freshman and is expected to have a fantastic career.
Myles Oliver – ATH – Douglas County
Another impressive Atlanta area athlete, the impressive DB is having a great senior season and proved this past weekend that he’s one of the top cover corners in the area. Still an under the radar prospect, Oliver is a playmaker on defense who picked off two passes in a 36-20 win over Paulding County. He also took a kickoff return back for a big touchdown. He’s really grown as a player and has become one of the top defensive backs in the region this year. He has great ball skills and has now intercepted four passes so far this season. He’s also helped lead the defense and team to a 6-0 record while allowing only one team to score over 20 points so far this year.
