On Thursday night the Royals of Community Christian put together a complete team performance in a big 13-0 win over district foes Bethel. Let’s take a look at the Royals that made that win happen.
Bai Jobe Bai Jobe 6'5" | DL Community Christian | 2023 State OK , 2023 Edge
The top collegiate prospect in the game had a quiet night against a run focused team in Bethel. He still displayed a quick first step and good hand movement to get off blocks. When getting off those blocks the evidence of his speed and quickness was shown when he was able to get down the line to pull down ballcarriers for a loss of yards or minimal gains.
Charlie Peterson, 2022 WR/DB
The star of the game, Peterson is tall and blessed with a big wingspan that gives him an outstanding catch radius. He knows how to use that catch radius, as he routinely made big time grabs on both sides of the ball. McIntosh showed faith tossing it up to him in contested catch situations and Peterson used his big frame to high point the ball or out muscle the opposition to snag it. His best catch of the night came on the defensive side of the ball for his second interception, where he elevated and pulled in the INT.
Boyce McIntosh Boyce McIntosh 6'1" | 200 lbs | QB Community Christian | 2022 State OK , 2022 QB/DB
The signal caller for Community Christian had a good game, often thanks to his ability to scramble with the ball. His headiest play was scooping up a poor snap, eluding the defenders and firing a pass to his number one target Peterson for the opening score. He continued to show that athleticism with scrambles and designed QB runs. McIntosh also logs plenty of snaps on defense, where that same athletic ability that makes him an effective scramble allowed him to play a big role in flying up the field in run support.
Grayson McGuire, 2025 LB
The freshman showed up big in run support for Community Christian. He showed good instincts to navigate around the opposing blockers, and he was often one of the players playing a key role in containing the run. He racked up tackles, even breaking into the backfield for a few tackles for losses. As McGuire continues to mature, the toughness he showed on Thursday makes him a small school standout to keep an eye on.
