Scouting Report: Morgan is a very interesting prospect with a lot of potential on the high school level for the class of 2026. He has heard from nearly every private school in the greater Houston area and his name is starting to get out there in early college recruiting circles as well. The thing that is most intriguing about Morgan is that he has the build and ability to play multiple positions. On offense he’s a very physical kid who bullies his way into making some elite-level catches, in addition to being an outstanding blocker on the outside. Defensively he’s so fast off of the edge that it’s not a fair fight for opposing offensive tackles who are tasked with keeping him out of the backfield. With all that said, going forward, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him lineup as a linebacker on the next level. If you think about it, he’s a natural fit there with his speed, strength and understanding of how to combat opposing offenses who like to put the ball in the air.
While it’s still very premature in the college recruiting world, Morgan has a few early favorites. The lifelong Longhorns fan is very high on Texas, and despite that fact, is also interested in Oklahoma University. He’s seen both sides of the Red River Rivalry and loves what he sees in those two programs. Outside of the Longhorns and Sooners, Morgan noted that Alabama and Georgia are high on his list as well because of the proven winning track record of both programs.
Accolades and honors: Morgan has been selected for the Battle Texas Youth All-Star tournament each year since 2019. The tournament essentially splits the state of Texas up into different regions or cities, and they line up to find out which region reigns supreme in the Lone Star State. He’s also been selected to Team Houston in the FBU National Championship tournament and was selected as a United Tyke Network All-American. Most recently Morgan was invited to the UA Next All-America Game.
Quote: “Just attending practice is not enough,” he said. “You have to constantly be working to get better to get the next level. I always tell myself to remember that someone is always watching you both on the field and off.”
