Anthony Gengarella Northwest
Gengarella is a freshman starter on this Northwest defense. To be a freshman and a starter on this stacked Northwest team shows how talented Gengarella is. He has already racked up numbers as he already has caused multiple turnovers and has a few pass breakups. He is a deep safety with good instincts that can break on the ball and make plays. Expect him to continue to get a few more interceptions this season.
Cryst Woods Northwest
Woods is an athletic interior lineman. He has great mobility for an interior guy. He has the ability to perform stunts and even read screens and drop back to cover them. He has a rare combination of speed and size. Expect him to continue to make plays for Northwest.
Antonio Berry Northwest
Berry is an explosive player. He has great vision, speed, and elusiveness. He is a big-play threat every time he gets the ball. He is a dangerous player on both special teams and on the offensive side of the ball. He can take any kick or run to the house so don’t be surprised if other teams start to key in on Berry the rest of the season.
Marcus Middleton Northwest
Middleton is a 2-way player for Northwest. On the offensive side of the ball, he is a modern-day tight end that has the ability to block but also be a receiving threat as well. He is dangerous after the catch as he runs with power and is tough to bring down. On defense, he plays on the edge and uses his frame to his advantage as he uses his hands to keep blockers off of him.
Darius Lorfils Darius Lorfils 6'2" | 170 lbs | DB Northwest | 2022 State MD Northwest
Lorfills is probably both the best and the most important player on this Northwest team. Like Octavian Smith Octavian Smith 5'10" | 170 lbs | ATH Paint Branch | 2022 State MD , he is doing double duty as he is Northwest’s starting quarterback but he is also their number 1 corner. Lorfils had another great game including a pick-six. Teams would be wise to stay away from Lorfils the rest of the season.
