Mason Sheron – Leo – RB – 6’0″ 205 lbs
Leo got the running game going early and Sheron was the main reason for that. He was making his reads and cutting with confidence. He was also bouncing the ball outside when nothing was there. He also showed his athleticism early on in the game. On the first drive of the night, he hurdled a defender to get into the redzone where they later scored. Sheron put up over 200 scrimmage yards on the night and 3 TDs.
Carson Hoeppner – Leo – RB – 5’11″ 180 lbs
Hoeppner was a fantastic change of pace back for Sheron on Friday and he got the job done. They use him inside the tackles and have him get those hard-fought yards. He’s able to do that and also has the speed to break a long run. Hoeppner did just that on Friday. He hit the pile and to his surprise came out on the other side. He made another guy miss and raced down to the 5-yard line before getting tackled. He had 75-yards on the ground and another 45 through the air along with a rushing TD.
Jackson Barbour – Leo – QB – 5’9″ 180 lbs
Friday was a run-heavy ground and pound game where not a lot of mistakes were made but when Leo needed to throw the ball Barbour delivered. He was able to stay calm and collected all night even when things got rough. He was able to lead Leo down for a TD on the biggest drive of the night. East Noble started playing 8 in the box. Barbour stayed in the pocket, took the hits, but delivered it on target.
Kainon Carico – East Noble – RB – 6’3″ 220 lbs
Anytime East Noble plays you know who is going to get the football but you still have to stop him. Leo didn’t do a very good job slowing Carico down on Friday. He ran all over their defense all night long. Leo was so worried about the reverse that they would over pursue leaving a big hole for Carico. Carico had just under 200-yards and 3 TDs on the night.
Rowan Zolman Rowan Zolman 6'5" | 200 lbs | ATH East Noble | 2022 State IN – East Noble – WR – 6’5″ 210 lbs
Zolman was the guy who kept baiting the end around and reverses all night long. Whenever Leo didn’t pursue it seemed like he got the ball and was picking up big chunk plays. He’s also their #1 WR so he gets a ton of looks. He took a jet sweep around the corner, made a guy miss, and turned the jets on, and got into the endzone. He put up over 100-yards and had a score on the night.
