Jeff Becker Jeff Becker 6'0" | 195 lbs | QB Carroll | 2022 State IN – Carroll – QB – 6’1″ 195 lbs
In a game that was dominated by rain, Becker came through. He started slow and the cold rainy weather bothered him. He came out in the 2nd half and got on fire. He took Carroll right down the field out of the half and scored a rushing TD. On the next drive, Becker rolled out to his right, bought some time, and delivered a strike into the endzone for another TD. Becker finished the night with 200-yards and 2 TDs.
AJ Lazoff – Carroll – RB – 6’0″ 170 lbs
Lazoff was one of Becker’s favorite targets on the night. Becker needed to get the ball out quick and Lazoff was the dump-off read most of the night. He was able to find the soft spot in the zone a few times. He also was able to find a way to get open way downfield where Becker found him and the Chargers moved the ball to the 3-yard line. Lazoff finished the night with 6 receptions for 81-yards on the night.
Peyton Slaven – Homestead – QB – 5’11″ 160 lbs
Slaven took a beating and got hit a lot but he stood in there and took every shot without an issue. It took him a bit to get going but he eventually settled down. The rain in this game killed some big plays. Slaven dropped a dime into the hands of his WR 50-yards down the field but the ball slipped right through. Slaven did a ton of damage with his legs because Carroll was not letting anything past them. Slaven finished the night with just under 250 scrimmage yards on the night.
Nathan Anderson – Homestead – WR – 6’0″ 175 lbs
Anderson was Slaven’s favorite target on the night. Anderson operated out of the slot and feasted in the middle of the field. He got comfortable and Slaven trusted him early on. He operated out of the slot and was able to read the coverage and sit in the clear zones. He caught 7 passes for 83-yards on the night as Homestead fell short.
