Continue ReadingThis week I went to another Gretna game, it was a close game almost the whole way through and was a great game to watch and see what these two teams did under pressure. This game was very close at the beginning, The Dragons drove down to get stuffed and only get 3 points this was the only points in the first quarter. Southeast did not back down driving and scoring with a run by Max Buttenback. Gretna would get another scoring opportunity after Brayden Cheney blocked a punt and set them up for some scores. the score at halftime would read 13-7 with the Dragons ahead. On the opening kickoff for the second half Brayden Cheney took it all the way back for a touchdown upping the dragons lead to 20-7 and the Third quarter was dominant for the Dragons. They forced turnovers and kept the Knights down making the score 34-7 at the end of the third quarter. The Knights could not stop the Dragon’s offense. Gretna would score again and make a 2 point conversion to hit the 35 point lead mercy rule.
