Westfield
QB Cardell Williams Cardell Williams 6'2" | 170 lbs | QB Westfield | 2022 State TX | 6’2 175lbs | Senior
Friday night Cardell Williams Cardell Williams 6'2" | 170 lbs | QB Westfield | 2022 State TX looked in full command firing for seven passing touchdowns in about three-quarters of action. Williams showed why he’s committed to Tulsa by dominating the passing game. Every snap Williams looked absolutely confident and was looking for big plays. His 374 yards came off 13 completions, including some phenomenal deep passes that had plenty of velocity and distance behind them.
WR Chuuky Hines | 6’2 175lbs | Senior
If you’re a scout or coach looking for a legit deep threat, then Chuuky Hines is your guy. His track speed and reliable hands allowed him to haul in three receiving touchdowns and 133 yards off four catches. His speed is top-notch, but what is more impressive is his use of his speed on routes. He maintains great leverage and was turning DB’s around consistently to create separation. Hines doesn’t appear to have any offers and could be a real steal for college programs.
WR Xavian Todd |5’11 185lbs | Senior
Xavian Todd only had two catches but he sure took advantage of them. Todd is dangerous with the ball in his hands as he is hard to bring down and has great vision. He lines up inside and out and is a solid blocker. When Todd has the ball in his hands he moves the chains, in his 15 catches this season he averages over 28 yards per catch and has four touchdowns. Friday night he had two catches for 102 yards and a touchdown.
Dekaney
RB Kevion Gaskin | 5’9 165lbs | Sophomore
Even though Westfield controlled the line of scrimmage, Kevion Gaskin still stood out. Gaskin for having a smaller frame is a strong runner. He tends to break the first or second tackle and fights for every yard. He has smooth footwork that Dekaney likes to utilize on outside zone plays where Gaskin can put his foot in the ground and get upfield without hesitation. Gaskin is only a sophomore, so his best days are ahead of him. He will be a star for Dekaney over the next couple of seasons.
DE Christian Nwosu | 6’1 225lbs | Sophomore
When Dekaney’s defense takes the field, Christian Nwosu stands out. Coming off the ball he stays low, mentally locks in, and reads his keys well. You always can see Nwosu around the ball and in the backfield. He has good hands for a sophomore and impressive strength that he uses well to get to the QB. In the run game his physical strength shows. Nwosu can straight up just moves linemen and tosses them out his way. I expect Nwosu to continue to develop technically and be a force in the district.
K Enock Gota | 6’1 190lbs | Senior
The scoreboard doesn’t tell the story when it comes to Dekaney’s extraordinary kicker/punter Enock Gota. The kicker has one of the strongest legs in Houston. Gota has real deal 50+ yard range. Gota holds a career-long of 51 yards that he knocked through his junior year. He’s perfect so far this season on extra points and gets NFL height going through the uprights. On kickoffs, he boots it out of the end zone almost every time. This season he knocked through a 47 yarder, that had enough leg to hit from 57. Gota holds an NAIA offer but has a D1 leg.
