Jeff Becker Jeff Becker 6'0" | 195 lbs | QB Carroll | 2022 State IN – Carroll – QB – 6’0″ 193 lbs
Anytime Becker steps on the field you’re bound to get a few wild plays and crazy throws and we got some on Friday. Becker looked fantastic and was strong in the pocket and was playing pitch and catch all night. He had a wicked TD throw where he was flushed out of the pocket, threw crossbody, and threw a frozen rope to the back of the endzone for a TD. Another fantastic performance by Becker as he led Carroll to an easy win.
Luke Carmody – Carroll – RB – 5’10″ 175 lbs
Carmody looked great on Friday. He was carrying the ball a lot for Carroll and was making the best of his opportunities. He’s got decent vision and likes to bounce the ball to the outside when he can. He was able to break a long TD run as well. He finished the night with over 100 rushing yards and his TD as he led Carroll on the ground.
Stellon Ruston – Bishop Dwenger – WR – 6’2″ 185 lbs
It’s always fun when we get a new breakout candidate and Ruston has busted onto the scene here as of late for the Saints. The Junior WR is only getting better each week. They like to use his size to their advantage and let him go up and come down with the ball. He finished the night with just under 100 yards and 2 TDs for the Saints. His first TD was a sliding catch in the endzone where he managed to hang on.
CJ Davis CJ Davis 5'11" | 175 lbs | DB Ft. Wayne Northrop | 2023 State IN – Northrop – WR – 5’10″ 165 lbs
Davis continues to be one of those players who takes big hits and has the defenders bounce off of him. It always seems to happen in the middle of the field. He had the same thing happen but this time when the defender bounced back Davis was able to turn the corner and find the endzone for their first TD of the night.
Grady Swing – Homestead – WR – 6’4″ 187 lbs
The once QB is getting better at WR each week and is learning his role in this offense. He’s beginning to turn the corner and have his impact felt when they needed it most. He was able to find the endzone on their first TD of the night. He took a jetsweep, turned the corner, and busted his way into the endzone. He’s a big and long WR who goes up and comes down with the ball on those 50/50 shots as well.
