Preston Michel, Wilbur-Creston-Keller ’25
Michel made a statement on the 68-34 win over Curtis, rushing for 302 yards and 4 TD’s on 30 carries, while adding another TD receiving. Michel has been making a splash throughout his freshman campaign, as he now holds around 890 yards rushing on 69 carries with 15 TD’s, and has added 207 yards receiving with 5 TD’s. Definitely making an impact early on in his career.
Ethan Garza, Selah ’22
Garza had a huge night as he rushed for 289 yards and 4 TD’s on the blowout win vs Rogers. Garza hits the hole with purpose and brings good physicality between the tackles with a nice low pad level at the POC. Overall an impressive performance by Garza as he’ll look to continue this momentum from a big week.
Jake Humphrey Jake Humphrey 5'9" | 185 lbs | RB Walla Walla | 2022 State WA , Walla Walla ’22
Humphrey racked up 244 yards on the ground with 3 TD’s to help Walla Walla secure a W at Ridgeline. Humphrey possesses solid vision between the tackles and hits lanes with a low pad level. He’s slippery through contact as he possesses solid balance to stay up if he’s not wrapped up. He’s shown the ability to get skinny and slip through narrow spaces, and had a nice performance this past week.
Ryan McKenna Ryan McKenna 6'0" | 175 lbs | ATH Gonzaga Prep | 2022 State WA , Gonzaga Prep ’22
McKenna rushed for 224 yards and 5 TD’s, showcasing some legit big play ability with his legs. He’s a very good overall athlete with the ability to dice up defenses with his arm or pose as a legit threat on the ground as a ball carrier. He shows solid vision with the ability to bounce runs outside and find ways to spring loose into space. He does a great job with his pull-give reads on read options, and possesses a nice burst through an open lane. Big time performance from Mckenna.
Jason Brown Jason Brown 5'10" | 205 lbs | ATH ODea | 2024 State WA , O’Dea ’24
Brown was able to show why he is one of the best player’s in the state, as he totaled 31 carries for 212 yards and 2 TD’s to beat Garfield. Sturdy back with workhorse ability and can wear down a defense with his motor+physicality. He’s a polished young RB for O’Dea as he’s shown the ability to be physical in a variety of ways, or get shifty and make opponents miss. Overall a promising young prospect with loads of potential, as he should continue to have big games gong forward.
