The Clear Fall Knights been on a great path so far beating every team with high scores. However, The Dickinson Gators handed them their 1st lost this season with a shocking score of 28-7. Although, Clear Fall lost I think both teams had great players on each side especially on the defensive side. I’ll be discussing Clear Fall Knights’ defensive standouts.
#11 Keewan Grismore OLB, SS Sr 6’0 210 lbs
The core of The Clear Falls Knights’ defense was #11 Keewan Grismore. Keewan was all over the field doubling as an outside line backer and safety. When Keewan saw the ball he pursued it and stopped the play. Keewan was very aggressive he was involved in almost every play. Keewan was involved by either making the tackle, assisting in the tackle or even slowing down the ball carrier or closing down his route. Keewan is definitely an asset to The Clear Falls Knights’ defense. Keewan is a college prospect his senior year having offers from two universities from East Texas Baptist University and Bethel University.
#20 Devin Jackson DB Sr 5’11 165 lbs
Keewan Grismore had an impressive night, but the same could be said about the most physical player #20 Devin Jackson. Devin is a defensive back he was able to cover his man and if a catch was made Devin wouldn’t let his man get far. Whenever, Devin made a tackle he made a giant impact. I felt almost all of Devin hits and it’s impact. Devin made a huge stopped was able to easily pickup a receiver and slam him down. Unfortunately, it did hurt his team because he got a foul from that that led to Dickinson Gators’ getting a touchdown. Overall, Devin had a great night and made tons of tackles.
#7 Eric Tusac OLB, SS Jr 6’1 210 lbs
#7 Eric Tusac stopped a good amount of The Dickinson Gators’ run plays. Eric was good at reading plays and knowing where the ball was going. Eric was directly and indirectly contributed to most of the stops. Eric was an outside line backer that focused mainly on blitzing into the backfield. Eric was a huge threat, but eventually The Dickinson Gators found a way to put a stop to him. The offense focusing more on stopping Eric led to more of the defense being free allowing them to make more stops. Eric has a lot of skills once he starts to polish them and improving I see a great future for Eric Tusac.
#5 Max Williams DB Jr
I see a lot of potential in defensive back Max Williams. Max was able to stop a couple pass plays. Max rarely let any passes come by him he was fast enough to cover his receiver and had great game sense. I think by his senior year Max will really stand out and become a great college prospect.
#25 Josh Wright OLB Sr 6’0 175 lbs
#25 Josh Wright is an aggressive outside linebacker. Josh doesn’t standout as much as his other teammates, but he provided great support. Josh contributed to a lot of tackles by personally making it and assisting in them. One thing for certain Josh Wright is an athlete I expect a lot of great things from Josh in his senior year.
