Nathan Acevedo, Lincoln, 2022
Lincoln put up an incredible fight in a close loss to Los Alamitos. With all the star power in the game, Acevedo was sort of slept on and proved why he shouldn’t have been. He made one of the best catches of the year and had 150 yards on four catches with a touchdown. He is a real offensive weapon for Lincoln, especially with some teams focusing on [player_tooltip player_id="25238" first="Jalil" last="Tucker"] and other receivers.

[player_tooltip player_id="25360" first="Tiger" last="Bachmeier"], Murrieta Valley, 2023
Bachmeier is one of the better skill players in Southern California and had a great game to open his junior season. He transferred to Murrieta Valley from Orange Lutheran where he was First Team All-Trinity League as a freshman. He caught five balls for 177 yards with three touchdowns in Murrieta Valley’s 63-21 win over Paloma Valley. He has eight offers including Arizona State, Boise State and Oregon among others.

[player_tooltip player_id="141958" first="Logan" last="Booher"], St. John Bosco, 2022
St John Bosco moved the ball well through the air against Alemany, who has one of the best defenses in Southern California. Booher was the primary target for the Bosco quarterbacks, catching five passes for 130 yards and a touchdown in the 24-3 win. The Braves are loaded at receiver and you can’t key on one of them. Each guy is capable of going off each week and this week it was Booher’s turn.

Jake East, Agoura, 2022
East has been great for Agoura for a long time and did so again in week one in a win against Ventura. He caught eight passes for 120 yards and three touchdowns in the win. He is probably better as a defensive back as a prospect, where he has earned All-State honors, but he can dominate at receiver like he did against Ventura.

[player_tooltip player_id="25248" first="Mekhi" last="Fox"], Pasadena, 2022
Pasadena dominated El Camino Real and Fox was unguardable in that game. Fox caught three passes for 139 yards and all three catches were for touchdowns. He plays bigger than his 6-foot-1, 190 pound frame and has breakaway speed. If you double-team him, he can win jump balls and find holes in zone coverages. Fox is committed to UCLA and it’s easy to see why college scouts love him.
