We are back with our second installment of the new <em>PrepRedzone </em>weekly series highlighting some of the Midwest's best individual gridiron performances from the past week, and I am pumped to have another round of impressive stat lines and game production from athletes in the Heartland of America. I switched things up a little bit this week and instead of breaking things down by position I have categorized the performances by state and have eight different states for you awesome readers to check out, so please enjoy and congratulations to all of the athletes selected for this week's team! Against <em>Mitchell </em>the junior went 15-25 for 262 yards and 4 TDs. <strong>Max Thomson </strong><em>(Washington, SD) </em>QB. 2022. 6'2, 205 lbs. Against <em>Rapid City Central </em>the Northern State quarterback commit completed 17-18 passes for 255 yards and 3 TDs. <strong>Trevin Vasquez </strong><em>(Little Wound, SD) </em>2022. 5'11, 175 lbs. In a 40-30 win against <em>Crow Creek </em>the senior rushed 16 times for 302 yards and 3 TDs and recorded a 95-yard TD run. <strong>Zander Bowman </strong><em>(Cheyenne-Eagle Butte, SD) </em>2023. 5'6, 130 lbs. The junior went off against <em>McLaughlin </em>as he caught 8 passes for 239 yards and 3 TDs and broke up 4 passes on defense. <strong>Cedar Amiotte </strong><em>(Wall, SD) </em>2023. 6', 175 lbs. In a 61-18 beatdown of <em>Kadoka </em><strong>Mr. Amiotte </strong>tallied 9 tackles, .5 TFLs, .5 sacks, and 2 interceptions for a balanced defensive performance. <strong>Cooper Schiernbeck </strong><em>(Deuel, SD) </em>2022. Against <em>Mobridge-Pollock </em>he put up 5 tackles and 3 interceptions <strong>Reece Berberich </strong><em>(Thompson, ND) </em>2023. RB. Against <em>Northern Cass </em>he totaled 19 carries for 218 yards and a TD. <strong>D. Leftbear </strong><em>(Four Winds, ND) </em>2024. WR/DB. In a 26-14 loss to <em>Towner-Granville-Upham </em>the sophomore posted 8 catches for 155 yards and recorded 5 tackles on defense. <strong>Brady Schock </strong><em>(Towner-Granville-Upham) </em>2022. RB/LB. Finished with a pretty balanced game of 10 carries for 144 yards and 2 TDs plus 12 tackles and a TFL on defense. <strong>Sayge Yellow Eagle </strong><em>(Todd County, SD) </em>2023. Put up a monster stat line versus <em>Standing Rock </em>as he recorded 4 rushes for 135 yards and 1 TD plus 3 catches for 82 yards and 2 TDs. <strong>Cedar Amiotte </strong><em>(Wall, SD) </em>RB. 2023. 6', 175 lbs. Tallied 14 carries for 181 yards and 2 TDs against <em>Kadoka</em> <span style="text-decoration: underline; font-size: 18pt;">Illinois</span> <strong>Ayden Tiburzi </strong><em>(Carlinville) </em>2022. QB. In a tough 49-41 loss to <em>Vandalia </em>the senior gunslinger went 18-37 for 295 yards and 4 TDs. <strong>Denim Cook </strong><em>(St. Teresa) </em>2022. RB/LB. 5'9, 220 lbs. The senior had a big day against <em>Althoff Catholic </em>as he tallied 11 carries for 278 yards and 3 TDs. <strong>Haden Stark </strong><em>(Pana) </em>2023. WR. In a win against <em>Hillsboro </em>the junior caught 3 balls for 152 yards and 2 TDs. <strong>Marco Jimenez </strong><em>(Round Lake) </em>2022. RB/LB. 5'10, 200 lbs. Posted 22 total tackles (15 solo, 7 assisted) and 2 TFLs against <em>Maine East.</em> <strong>Nick Golden </strong><em>(Mahomet-Seymour) </em>2023. LB. Had a monster performance in a win against <em>Effingham </em>as he posted 11 tackles, 8 TFLs, and 5 sacks. <strong>Kaden Newman </strong><em>(St. Bede) </em>2025. CB. Had 4 interceptions (!) against <em>Sherrard. </em> <strong>Joey Pope </strong><em>(Glenbard West) </em>2023. RB/DB. 6', 165 lbs. Battling against <em>Downers Grove South </em>he scored 3 TDs and 185 rushing yards. The stud freshman had a big game against <em>Mooresville </em>and went 24-35 for 390 yards and 3 TDs. <strong>Noah Mungia </strong><em>(New Prairie) </em>2023. RB. 5'9, 195 lbs. Playing against <em>Lowell </em>he had 26 carries for 236 yards and 1 TD. <strong>Alex Deming </strong><em>(Rochester) </em>2024. RB/LB. Had 18 carries for 245 yards and 3 TDs in a 35-6 win against <em>Whitko. </em> <strong>Cael Vanderbush </strong><em>(Plainfield) </em>2022. WR. The 6'6, 200 lber. put up 4 catches for 175 yards and 2 TDs in a 63-42 loss to <em>Mooresville. </em> <strong>Ethan Fultz </strong><em>(Brownstown Central) </em>2023. 5'11, 185 lbs. In a 49-35 loss to <em>Madison </em>he tallied 32 total tackles (19 solo, 22 assist), and 4 TFLs. <strong>Damarion Campbell </strong><em>(Bowman Academy) </em>2023. LB/RB. 6', 210 lbs. The junior posted 12 carries for 44 yards, 2 catches for 31 yards, 19 tackles (15 solo, 4 assist), and 3 sacks in a 21-14 loss to <em>East Chicago Central. </em> <strong>Logan Poppy </strong><em>(Martinsville) </em>2024. WR/CB. Posted 8 tackles and 2 interceptions in a 38-21 win against <em>Greenwood. </em> <strong>Mason Sheron </strong><em>(Leo) </em>2022. RB/OLB. 6', 205 lbs. The junior had a big day against <em>Garner-Hayfield-Ventura </em>as he tallied 7 catches for 190 yards and 3 scores. <strong>Cole Filloon </strong><em>(Southeast Polk) </em>2022. WR. 6'2, 205 lbs. The big-bodied wideout helped the <em>Rams </em>defeat <em>Valley </em>with a 5 reception, 165 yard, 2 TD game. <strong>Bryant Williams </strong><em>(Burlington) </em>2022. RB. On just 19 carries posted 208 yards and 4 scores. <strong>Mason Applegate </strong><em>(Iowa City West) </em>2022. RB. Versus <em>Muscatine </em>the senior tallied 11 carries for 220 yards and 4 TDs. <strong>Sawyer Wardlow </strong><em>(Centerville) </em>2022. QB. 6'2, 200 lbs. Against <em>Albia </em>the senior went 14-22 for 229 yards and 3 TDs through the air to go along with 139 rushing yards and 2 TDs. In his Week 2 matchup against <em>Garner-Hayfield/Ventura </em>the 2021 stat monster went 12-23 for 296 yards and 4 TDs + 17 carries for 149 yards. The junior went 9-9 for 256 yards and a TD in a big 70-12 win against <em>Stockton. </em> <strong>Erhik Hermosillo </strong><em>(Wichita County) </em>2023. QB/RB. Had a crazy stat line in a 56-6 win against <em>Hoxie </em>as he went 11-14 passing for 164 yards and 2 TDs and added 26 rushes for 238 yards and 4 TDs. <strong>Geremiah Moore </strong><em>(Wichita Northwest) </em>2022. 5'10, 180 lbs. ATH. In a tough 37-27 loss to <em>Bishop Carroll </em>the senior completed 12-20 passing for 141 yards and added 22 rushes for 218 yards and 4 TDs. <strong>Micah Blair </strong><em>(Christ Prep Academy) </em>2022. 6'2, 175 lbs. WR/CB. Caught 6 passes for 186 yards and 4 TDs in a 42-6 win versus <em>Pleasanton.</em> <strong>Cooper Jermark </strong><em>(St. John's/Tipton Catholic) </em>2023. LB/WR. Battling against <em>Sylvan-Lucas </em>the junior rushed 7 times for 14 yards and 2 TDs and added 26 tackles (12 solo, 14 assist), a sack, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. <strong>Ely Jackson </strong><em>(Anthony-Harper-Chaparral) </em>2023. In a 32-0 victory over <em>Trinity Academy </em>he totaled 5 tackles, 3 TFLs, 2.5 sacks, and a PBU. <strong>Grant Stubblefield </strong><em>(Blue Valley Northwest) </em>2023. RB. 6'1, 185 lbs. Playing against <em>Blue Valley </em>he rushed for 204 yards and 3 TDs. Despite a 40-22 loss to <em>Breckenridge </em><strong>Mr. Wakefield </strong>recorded 19 carries for 203 yards and a TD. <strong>Kellen Reed </strong><em>(Holt) </em>2022. WR. Tallied 4 receptions for 133 yards and 2 TDs in a 44-14 win against <em>Mason. </em> <strong>William Gaskell V </strong><em>(Milan) </em>2024. LB. 6'2, 205 lbs. The sophomore had himself a night against <em>Huron </em>as he put up 10 carries for 48 yards and a TD, one catch for 20 yards, 22 total tackles (7 solo, 15 assisted), 5 TFLs, an interception, and 2 forced fumbles. Talk about production! <strong>Cole Hopkins </strong><em>(Evart) </em>2023. OLB. In a 48-6 whoopin' of <em>Roscommon </em>the junior posted 11 carries for 77 yards and a TD, 2 catches for 40 yards, 11 total tackles (6 solo, 5 assisted), and 4 sacks. <strong>John Hartgerink</strong> <em>(Saugatuck) </em>2022. DB/RB. 6'2, 180 lbs. Against <em>Lakeview </em>he went for 5 rushes for 51 yards and 2 TDs, a catch for 21 yards, 3 tackles, 2 interceptions, 2 kickoff returns for 55 yards, and a punt return for 25 yards. <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="font-size: 18pt;">Minnesota</span></span> <strong>Carson Hansen </strong><em>(Lakeville South) </em>2023. RB. 6'1, 190 lbs. One of my favorite '23s in MN posted 14 carries for 213 yards and 3 TDs plus one reception for 40 yards and a TD. In a victory over <em>MACCRAY </em>he recorded 29 rushes for 274 yards and 5 TDs plus a two-point conversion run. <strong>Jacob Weckop </strong><em>(Randolph) </em>2022. QB. The <em>Rockets </em>are stacked this year and beat <em>Waterville-Elysian-Morristown </em>thanks to his going 12-17 for 331 yards and 5 TDs while adding 41 rushing yards and a TD on the ground. ATH. The offensive weapon accounted for 235 rushing yards and 3 TDS plus 120 passing yards and 2 TDs.
