Here is my latest look at top prospects and their video evaluations.
Davion Gause – Chaminade-Madonna
2024 Davion Gause ripped off a 63-yard touchdown to lead Chaminade-Madonna over Georgia power Buford on Friday night. The 5-foot-10, 200-pound running back finished the game with 197 yards on 32 carries. He was crucial late with runs in the fourth quarter to run out the clock. The two-time defending state champions had no answer for one of the country’s best sophomore running backs. Gause runs well between the tackles and has great vision into the second level. Moreover, I like his ability to cutback to the outside and head upfield. Overall, his awareness is nice for a young player. His top end speed is good with a chance to be special. Appears to be only getting stronger after an impressive performance in the Peach State. Gause rushed for 795 yards and six touchdowns as a freshman. Remember, he split time with current UM running back Thad Franklin. Gause holds offers from Florida State, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Miami, Utah, Texas A&M and West Virginia.
Sedrick Irvin Jr. – Gulliver Prep
2023 Sedrick Irvin Jr. is a do-it-all running back for Gulliver Prep. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound prospect has 50 carries for 275 yards and two touchdowns thus far in 2021. Moreover, Irvin has caught three balls for 38 yards. I think he has good speed and ability to pick up yards in space. While not your quintessential power back, Irvin can make guys miss in the open field. You also have to be aware of him in the passing game. Probably room to put on more weight when necessary. Irvin Jr. is a track athlete as well. He holds offers from Oregon, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Stanford, and others.
Andy Jean Andy Jean 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Miami Northwestern | 2023 State FL – Miami Northwestern
2023 Andy Jean Andy Jean 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Miami Northwestern | 2023 State FL is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound wide receiver for the Bulls. He appears to be highly effective near the line of scrimmage while finding a crease in the defense after the catch. Runs nice routes on quick slants. Could be a dangerous pass catcher inside ten yards. Jean will also help out in run blocking on the edge or downfield. He has the mindset you would expect of a Northwestern player. Jean is very tough and a team player. He’s doesn’t need to be directly involved in the play to make an impact. The 4-star prospect holds offers from Pittsburgh, Georgia, West Virginia, Miami and others.
Anthony Rose Anthony Rose 6'4" | 180 lbs | DB Hallandale | 2022 State FL – Miami Central
2022 Anthony Rose Anthony Rose 6'4" | 180 lbs | DB Hallandale | 2022 State FL looks really good on film. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound safety/cornerback has elite size and speed on defense. I think you can line him up anywhere on the field and he will make plays. Rose has great coverage skills and closing speed. Moreover, he seems to show an extra gear when the football is in the air. Often times this will lead to an interception. Rose is a ball-hawk sideline to sideline. Maybe a free safety in college with range while having the intellect of a prototypical cornerback. Rose is very impressive. He is committed to South Carolina.
