They may be a private program, but the Blessed Trinity Titans are a powerful, winning program that has no problem playing, and sometimes dominating, some of the bigger public schools in the state. They may never be the biggest or most talented team, but the Titans are always well coached, they play hard, and they’re fundamentally sound. This year is no different as the Titans attempt to make a big playoff run later this fall.
Here are a few Blessed Trinity Titan players to know about for the rest of the season…
Justice Haynes Justice Haynes 5'10" | 205 lbs | RB Buford | 2023 State GA – Running Back
Arguably the top running back prospect in the state, Haynes has been a little banged up this year and has missed a couple games, but he’s back now and running through defenses with ease. Playing against one of their toughest regular season opponents last week against Eagles Landing Christian, Haynes rushed for over 300 yards and three touchdowns in the close, 24-21 victory. He’s fast and explosive, but he’s also a tough, physical runner. He breaks tackles up top, doesn’t get tripped up easily at his feet, and knows how to keep running after contact. He plays with great footwork, balance, and has the ability to score every time he touches the ball. Now that he’s fully healthy, look for the Titans to take a big step forward this year. They lost to Marist and St. Pius without Haynes, but they’re a completely different team now that he’s back.
JC French – Quarterback
It’s been a tough go so far this season for the senior QB but look for him to fight hard over the next few weeks. He’s one of the top 2022 QBs in the Atlanta area from a talent perspective, and he might see more opportunities to throw the ball over the nexrt few weeks. With Haynes back, defenses will start to play closer to the line of scrimmage which will open up some lanes to throw to for French in the passing game. They’re still in the mix as a 5A title contender but they’re going to need French to play his best over the next few weeks and into the playoff. If they find a consistent passing attack to go along with their elite rushing attack, the Titans will be tough to beat moving forward.
Evan Dickens – Athlete
One of the fastest players in the region, Dickens is having a great year on both offense and defense for the Titans. He has 4.47 speeed and can be a game-changer on both offense and defense. The 5-foot-11 180-pounder could play CB at the next level but he’s athletic enough with good enough hands to make big plays on offense this year. He’s one of the more talented players on the team and can make a big play at any point. Only a junior, look for Dickens to see some college interest to come his way sooner than later.
Ryan Scott – DL
The returning All-State DT is picking up where he left off and is having a strong senior season through the team’s first five games.. The Army commit is a team leader and has helped anchor the Titans defensive line all season. They’re a solid group overall and appear to be playing better and better the last few weeks. Scott’s biggest strength is his overall strength, motor, and intelligence. Expect him to continue plying like a team captain the rest of the way.
