2022 Hybrid defender Deion Manley (6’3” and 205lbs) @DeionManley
During warmups, Manley passes the look test and I wanted to keep an eye out for him. That wasn’t a mistake as he made multiple plays from all over the field. Manley lined up at corner, outside linebacker and a rush end, and didn’t seem like he was lost anywhere. Versatility in modern defenses is huge and Manley has tons of it.
Found another sleeper in @DeionManley teams need to get on this guy ASAP pic.twitter.com/ZXSUyso1oC

He runs very well, has a skinny frame that I could see him adding on 30-40 pounds. Manley most likely will outgrown the secondary, but he could be a fantastic prospect as an outside linebacker or if he gains even more weight, could be a terrific defense end. He is talking with some P5 schools but no offers yet, now is the time to get on Manley.
2023 Defensive lineman Michael Wind (6’1” and 210lbs)
Although a bit undersized that didn’t stop Wind from making plays against a bigger offensive line. He used his speed and good hand technique to shed lineman and very good tackling form to finish the play. There’s a lot to like about a player who is high energy and doesn’t give up, Wind has an attitude that coaches loves. He’s someone who I have not seen before but has a lot of potential and will be one to watch over the next few years.
2023 Quarterback Cole Teschner Cole Teschner 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Montini Catholic | 2023 State IL (6’2” and 195lbs) @ColeTeschner
Seeing Teschner over camp season gave me a good idea of the kind of player he was and his performance backed it up on Friday night. Although Montini didn’t throw the ball much over the course of the game, Teschner still was able to show off his arm strength that is just so impressive. Even though he’s a pocket passer, there’s some good awareness inside the pocket and athletic ability to his game. His one deep attempt was a very well throw ball, but unfortunately it went off his receivers finger tips, but a very catchable ball. One thing he needs to work on is changing speeds on his throws, a little touch goes a long way. Teschner still has the tools to be a very high level quarterback at the next level.
2023 Linebacker Caden Phengkeokaisone Caden Phengkeokaisone 6'0" | 195 lbs | LB Montini Catholic | 2023 State IL (6’ and 215lbs) @cadenpheng
Another player I have gotten to know during the camp season, Phengkeokaisone made plays throughout the game. He registered a sack, where got got off the block of an offensive lineman and then was able to take down the quarterback.
The no quit attitude by @cadenpheng went far on Friday night pic.twitter.com/FYnTqha0iH

Phengkeokaisone did well stopping the run also, making a very impressive stop in the red zone. Solid in pass coverage, it’s in this area that if he can continue to improve, he’ll become a much more rounded player. A very good night for the linebacker.
2023 Running back Joshua Robinson Joshua Robinson 6'2" | 210 lbs | RB Montini Catholic | 2023 State IL (6’2” and 215lbs) @
Bigger in person that I expected, this was my first time seeing Robinson live. He’s a huge running back that is still shifty enough to break chunk runs when he get’s an opportunity. Marmion did a good job of controlling the line, so the opportunities weren’t there for big plays but Robinson adjusted his game. His pounding style boded well in a game like this as he churned out some tough yards.
Montini on the board first as @ColeTeschner finds @joshrobinson22 for the TD. Montini 7 Marmion 0 with 3:50 in Q1 pic.twitter.com/QC7UEQHSfs

Robinson also showed good hands out of the passing game, scoring the only touchdown for Montini on the night through the air. I’d love to see what he could do with a bigger offensive line, there’s a lot to like about Robinsons’s game.
2024 Running back Alex Marre (5’8” and 165lbs) @AlexMarre31
The sophomore found multiple holes in the Marmion defense and ran very well for the majority of the night. He showed some solid speed, the ability to get around the corner of a defense and turn upfield to gain extra yards.
When @AlexMarre31 gets healthy again, watch out pic.twitter.com/XZIoSujUGQ
— "The" Mike F Chen (@MikeFChen) September 13, 2021
Not the best runner between the tackles, Marre will have to bulk if he wants to be more effective in that area. Unfortunately, it seemed like he suffered a pretty bad injury in the fourth quarter. Marre showed enough before the injury that he could be a very solid player in the future, so keep an eye out when he returns to the field.
2022 Defensive tackle Jacolby Washington (6’2” and 275lbs) @X2Kob
The biggest problem for the Marmion interior lineman was Washington, as he got some very solid pressure from his position. He did a good job for getting off the ball quickly, using his hands to disengage from his opponent and make a play. He flashed some playmaking ability a few times, getting the running back behind the line of scrimmage.
A great job of getting interior pressure from @X2Kob pic.twitter.com/qs7GGw2Zt2
— "The" Mike F Chen (@MikeFChen) September 13, 2021
Washington was very solid with holding his gap as well, leading to the linebackers getting a chance to make plays. He had a very good night and has the potential to get better.
2022 Athlete Mario Florio Mario Florio 5'10" | 170 lbs | DB Montini | 2022 State IL (5’10” and 180lbs) @marioflorio_
The slot receiver showed a good ability to run a bubble screen, Florio made the most of the few opportunities that he got. Solid quickness and shiftiness, Florio has good hands and footwork running short routes.
Very nice setup on a bubble screen by @marioflorio_ to create space and move upfield pic.twitter.com/GWn6p0UHlA
— "The" Mike F Chen (@MikeFChen) September 13, 2021
He’s also got the ability to play on the other side of the ball as well and could end up on that side. Florio is a player a team could take a flier on and could turn out to be very productive.
2024 Lineman Matt Mikolajaczak (6’3” and 255lbs) @MDMikolajczak51
Unfortunately Mikolajaczak didn’t play, but why do I have him as a standout? Well, his age and size will definitely play in the future. He had his hand/forearm in a cast, and risking further injury for such a young player makes sense. Mikolajaczak needs to be watched over the next few years as he could turn out to be a very good player.
