Drew Chandler – Unity Christian – RB – 6’3’ 175 lbs
Chandler was unstoppable on Friday. He was all over the field making plays and scoring touchdowns. To be specific since he scored so many times, he caught 3 through the air and then was able to run for another 2. He was in the endzone 5 times on Friday and had over 200 scrimmage yards. He put up 141 rushing yards and then 94 receiving yards.
Caleb Dean – Jenison – RB/WR – 5’9″ 175 lbs
Dean had a huge game himself on Friday. He was able to help Jenison move the ball up and down the field in a flash. He only had 5 carries but had 164 rushing yards and 2 scores on the ground. He looked great in his small opportunity. He was making guys miss and getting edge just about every time he touched the ball. He should get more work in the coming weeks in my opinion. Someone that explosive needs the ball.
Tyler Dewitt – Comstock Park – RB/WR – 5’11″ 170 lbs
Dewitt was a touchdown machine on Friday. Comstock Park’s entire offense was to turn and give it to Tyler and he will make something big happen. He had 292 rushing yards and then had rushing touchdowns of 4, 67, and 77-yards on Friday. He helped them put up 50-points and he looked great every time he touched the ball. You can expect to see him on more lists in the coming weeks if he keeps performing like this.
Cole DiPiazza Cole DiPiazza RB Allendale | 2022 MI – Allendale – RB – 5’8″ 172 lbs
Dipiazza isn’t the best athlete but he sure is explosive. He doesn’t have the biggest frame but he hasn’t shown that he needs to be any bigger. He handled a massive workload on Friday. They gave him 32 carries and rushed for 211-yards. He also had 2 touchdown runs of 8-yards and 81-yards. Those were the only 14 points scored in the game and Dipiazza was the bright spot of the evening for Allendale.
Nic Gordon – Sparta – QB – 6’3’ 185 lbs
Gordon didn’t have to drop back very often, but when he did, he was efficient. He only needed to throw 5 times for the entire game. He still managed 162 passing yards for 2 touchdowns. He did most of his damage on the ground while he was leading Sparta to a 41-3 win. He was gashing the defense for big chunks at a time and Sparta took care of Ludington with ease.
