Gordo vs Northridge: Top Offensive Performances

Last week we checked out some of Gordo and Northridge's talent and both teams had tons on full display. After a thrilling game last Friday night that resulted in a 24-21 Northridge win, we highlighted some of the game’s top offensive performers! &nbsp; <span style="text-decoration: underline; font-size: 18pt;"><em><strong>GORDO</strong></em></span> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="125932" first="Tanner" last="Bailey"]- QB</strong> Bailey put on an incredible second-half performance that fell just shy of a victory for Gordo. Bailey completed pass after pass, totaling up 186 yards and two touchdowns off of 16/23 attempts. In addition to that, Bailey used his mobility to create a rushing touchdown on the ground. Bailey continues to play at an outstanding level his senior season, and Oregon fans will have a lot to look forward to when he arrives in Eugene next fall. <strong>Ben Capps- WR</strong> Capps was a very reliable target for [player_tooltip player_id="125932" first="Tanner" last="Bailey"] last Friday night, continually getting open and catching crucial passes for Gordo’s offense. Capps was making plays all game, catching a touchdown, getting a massive 43 yard gain on fourth down, and constantly keeping the secondary guessing. Capps has been lights out this season, and teams are going to notice. &nbsp; <span style="font-size: 18pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>NORTHRIDGE</strong></span></em></span> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="125952" first="Whitt" last="Winfield"]- QB</strong> Winfield has performed greatly this year, leading the Northridge offense to a 6-0 record. Winfield has a great arm on him, and consistently completed and made the right passes all throughout the game. Winfield also has great mobility, as he made a couple of good plays on the run as well. Northridge's offense is clicking very well with Winfield and will continue to the rest of this season. <strong>Toryion Spears</strong><strong>- RB</strong> As a junior, Toryion Spears has been incredibly productive in Northridge’s run game. Against Gordo, Spears had himself a game: scoring a touchdown, gaining great yardage each carry, and being a reliable pass catcher for quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="125952" first="Whitt" last="Winfield"]. Spears has loads of potential that he has shown so far in his junior season, with his speed, vision, and elusiveness he has been electric for Northridge’s offense. &nbsp;
