Kj Tippmann – Bishop Dwenger – RB – 6’1″ 205 lbs
Tippman put together another strong performance helping lead Bishop Dwenger’s rushing attack. His best play of the day came on a long TD run where he broke a total of 5 tackles before he hit the endzone. He showed great speed and contact balance on Friday. He keeps making plays and leading the Saints on the ground every week.
Rocco Ciocca Rocco Ciocca 6'4" | 200 lbs | TE Bishop Dwenger | 2022 State IN – Bishop Dwenger – WR/TE – 6’4″ 200 lbs
As the season goes on, weapons are going to develop and Ciocca is an example of that. He has a massive frame and great size advantage when he’s on the field. He just needs to learn the position and how to control a frame like that. Friday, he was able to get on the right path. He made some great catches and most importantly, showed the ability to go up and get the ball in the endzone. He was able to outmuscle the defender and come down with the ball.
Nathan Anderson – Homestead – TE/WR – 6’0″ 175 lbs
In a game where the offenses went wild the week before, Anderson was a no-show. Last week, he fixed that. Anderson put himself back on the map Friday with a great performance. He was making big catches up and down the field most of the evening. He caught a long bomb and raced in for a touchdown while signaling that he knew he was gone. Later in the game, he caught a beautiful fade and kept his feet in for a second score. It was great to see Anderson bounce back. He’s arguably Homestead’s best player Friday and they definitely needed him to step up.
Sir Hale – Bishop Luers – RB – 5’7″ 180 lbs
At this point, it’s like a broken record putting Hale on here, but he’s one of the best RB’s in the area and is always producing. He only had 14 touches Friday but wracked up well over 150 total yards. Anytime he touched the ball he was making big plays and hitting paydirt. He was able to score in the RedZone and bully his way in the endzone. He’s one of the best RBs in the area and he keeps making plays. Another great performance for Sir.
Hansen Hafner – Carroll – WR – 5’11″ 175 lbs
Every now and then, players will step up and have huge games. Hafner’s turn was this week and he absolutely delivered for Carroll. He was unguardable Friday and was able to feast out of the slot. He was quick and precise with his routes and making every catch that came his way. The normally quiet slot WR had 2 receiving TDs Friday and looked great. Hopefully he can continue to string together some good performances.
