Braylen Himmelein – Davison – QB – 6’1″ 180 lbs
This past Friday’s game is the first time I’m checking out Himmelein and I was thoroughly impressed. He was in complete command and control of the offense all night. He was making every throw and showed that he has fantastic footwork. He doesn’t get panicked in the pocket either and stays calm if his reads aren’t there. He finished the night with 171 passing yards, 73 rushing yards, and 2 TDs.
Elijah Jackson-Anderson Elijah Jackson-Anderson 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB Grand Blanc | 2022 State MI – Grand Blanc – RB – 5’9″ 175 lbs
Jackson-Anderson is one of the most explosive players in the entire state. He’s a fantastic athlete and can make players miss in the open field. He had 3 total touchdowns on the evening. One on the ground and 2 through the air. He’s a 3-down back and doesn’t need to come off the field. He’s in great shape and never gets tired. He was just as good in the 4th QTR as he was in the 1st QTR. He’s committed to Eastern Michigan and will be playing RB for them.
Brayden McKenna Brayden McKenna 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Lapeer | 2022 MI – Lapeer – RB – 5’11″ 190 lbs
Mckenna could be on this list every week. He’s one of the best recruits in the state for a reason. He always produces elite numbers and this past Friday was no different. We are 5 games in and he’s already rushed for 1100 yards. Friday he added another 20 carries for 286 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns. He touched the ball and took it to the house or moved the chains on every carry he had. He’s incredible and a ton of fun to watch.
Jace Simerson – Goodrich – RB – 5’10″ 165 lbs
Simerson and the entire Goodrich offense started slow but they came through in crunch time. Simerson got the hot hand in the 4th QTR and scored 2 TDs which helped Goodrich squeak by Corunna. He was making players miss in the hole and running them over on the outside. He ran with strong legs and kept churning his legs. They relied on Simerson when it mattered most and he showed he was up to the challenge.
Tristan Hinkley – Swartz Creek – RB/MLB – 6’1″ 225 lbs
Hinkley had his biggest game of the year when it mattered most. Swartz Creek found themselves in a shootout against Kearsley. Hinkley carried the ball 19 times but rushed for 191-yards and scored 3 times on the night. He broke a long TD run of 61-yards and broke 6 tackles on his way to the endzone. He has very light feet and is able to change direction in the blink of an eye. He helped Swartz Creek squeak out a 42-35 win.
