The Clear Fall Knights been on a great path so far beating every team with high scores. However, The Dickinson Gators handed them their 1st lost this season with a shocking score of 28-7. The Dickinson Gators had a lot of impressive offensive weapons that I’ll be discussing.
#2 Reggie Sanders WR Sr 5’7 170 lbs
Watching this talented athlete was truly entertaining Gator Dickinson’s #2 Reggie Sanders. Reggie is a wide receiver and a running back a very FAST one at that. Not only was Reggie fast and quick he had the foot work and moves to spin off any tackle. Reggie received a pitch and zoom passed all the defenders on the inside then maneuvered around the safeties and linebackers to get a 46-yard touchdown.
#12 Luke Martin QB Sr 6’2 190 lbs
Luke Martin is a quarterback that surely knows how to lead his team. Luke is a remarkable quarterback with a great arm. Luke knew how to find an open receiver and throw him the ball. Distance wasn’t a problem for him either before the 1st half ended Luke threw a 43-yard touchdown under pressure. Luke also wasn’t afraid to run the ball. Luke rushed in for two touchdowns and threw in for another two touchdowns. Luke is a college prospect having two offers from Harding University and University at Buffalo.
#18 Donovan Green Donovan Green 6'4" | 220 lbs | TE Dickinson | 2022 State TX TE, WR Sr 6’4 240 lbs
#18 Donovan Green Donovan Green 6'4" | 220 lbs | TE Dickinson | 2022 State TX is a huge and aggressive tight end. Donovan is an adequate player using his size to his advantage. Whether, Donovan was needed for catching or blocking he carried out his duty. I will say Donovan was more of an outstanding blocker than receiver. Donovan didn’t get as many chances to catch the ball as others, but he was able to get a couple of 1st downs. Donovan has committed to go to Texas A&M for football next fall.
#64 Josiah Mason LG Sr 6’0 300 lbs
During a football game you usually pay attention to where the ball is going, but the offensive line is really important. An offensive linemen that stood out to me was Josiah Mason the left guard. Josiah was everything a lineman should be big, quick, strong and had amazing footwork. Clear Fall Knights had a great defense, but they couldn’t get pass Josiah. Watching how Josiah pulled Bloch and got right in the defenders face and pancaked him was a sight to see. I’m expecting Josiah to get a lot of recognition in his senior year.
#13 De’rion Crooms WR Jr
Wide receiver De’rion Crooms can catch any pass that comes his way. De’rion has great hands didn’t drop a pass all night. De’rion is fast and has good footwork to get open it was hard for Dickinson to cover him. De’rion was able to catch the ball over two defenders for a 43-yard touchdown.
