The entire Carroll team rallied together and it was truly a special performance by the Lions. Let’s take a look at some of the game’s standout performers from both teams.

2022 5’10 220 MLB – Shon Reid Shon Reid 5'9" | 205 lbs | RB Archbishop Carroll | 2022 State MD
It’s now clear that Shon Reid Shon Reid 5'9" | 205 lbs | RB Archbishop Carroll | 2022 State MD will not handle the majority of his snaps at running back, but rather at the position of middle linebacker and as the leader of the Archbishop Carroll defense. Reid played absolutely lights out defense against Bullis and he tallied upwards of 10 tackles against a strong IAC opponent. The Lions’ entire team feeds off of Reid’s constant pursuit of the ball, and it’s more than apparent that Reid is set on achieving greatness this season. His leadership and poise will continue to do great things for him now and into the near future when he’ll most likely be suiting up for a D1 squad on Saturday’s.
2022 5’9 160 RB – Elijah Solomon Elijah Solomon 5'9" | 160 lbs | RB Archbishop Carroll | 2022 MD
Elijah Solomon Elijah Solomon 5'9" | 160 lbs | RB Archbishop Carroll | 2022 MD had an extremely impressive performance against Bullis. He recorded multiple touchdowns and a bunch of all-purpose yards for the Lions to help lead them to victory. Solomon seems to be the lead back for Archbishop Carroll but it’s difficult to be certain given that it was a dominant win and a few other backs saw multiple touches. Regardless, every time Elijah Solomon Elijah Solomon 5'9" | 160 lbs | RB Archbishop Carroll | 2022 MD touches the ball he lights up the field and good things end up happening for the Lions. The entire WCAC should be on notice because Elijah Solomon Elijah Solomon 5'9" | 160 lbs | RB Archbishop Carroll | 2022 MD and Archbishop Carroll have an elite squad this season. Expect nothing less than stellar productivity from Solomon in Carroll’s next game.
2023 6’4 240 QB – Tysean Helm
Tysean Helm was nearly perfect throwing the football against Bullis, and he really showcased his dual-threat quarterback potential for the next level. Helm was a constant rushing threat throughout the contest, and he rushed for a short goal line touchdown. The Bullis defense had no answers for his consistency and patience, and if Tysean Helm can continue to lead this team like he has been recently then Archbishop Carroll will end the season as one of the premier teams in all of the DMV area.

2023 6’1 195 WR – Anthony Martin
Anthony Martin made the most electric play of the game even though he and the Bulldogs ended up on the losing side of the contest. He caught a screen pass and slipped one defender then proceeded to spin move and juke out two other defenders in pursuit of the end zone. He was tackled just short of the goal line and Bullis promptly scored easily on the next play. Anthony Martin’s sublime play displayed his elite level skill that he will continue to utilize throughout the season as Bullis inevitably bounces back from this loss.
