As a result, there will be a serious challenge for the Ben Davis Giants to make their mark this season. But, with a roster filed with players who have the potential to play at the collegiate level, Ben Davis will certainly be ready to compete. Today, we will evaluate four outstanding Ben Davis prospects, with three more to follow tomorrow. Ben Davis is a team that should not be overlooked this season.
Serrell Curtis Serrell Curtis 6'1" | 170 lbs | DB Ben Davis | 2023 State IN , 6’1, 165 pounds, Defensive Back, Junior
Going into the 2021 season, Serrell Curtis Serrell Curtis 6'1" | 170 lbs | DB Ben Davis | 2023 State IN is ranked as the fourth-best defensive back, and the number 31 overall prospect, in the Class of 2023. Curtis is a versatile corner, who excels in zone and man coverage. No assignment is too much for him. Curtis has the speed to match the opposing receiver stride-for-stride. Curtis is a top-tier tackler, who can make a play in space.
Keylen Davis Keylen Davis 6'4" | 290 lbs | OL Ben Davis | 2022 State IN , 6’4, 290 pounds, Offensive Lineman, Senior
Keylen Davis Keylen Davis 6'4" | 290 lbs | OL Ben Davis | 2022 State IN enters this season as the ninth-ranked senior offensive lineman. Davis is ranked as the 28th-best prospect overall in the Class of 2022, and he is a player who backs up his standing in the rankings. Davis is a physical offensive tackle, who uses great hand placement and body positioning to dictate in the trenches. Davis does not let his hands get too far apart, and he does not grab the jersey, so Davis is not susceptible to commit killer holding penalties. Also helping him avoid penalties, is the fact that Davis moves his feet well. Defensive ends will have to bring something special to beat him around the outside. Davis is excellent at executing down blocks that open up big running lanes.
Myron Green Myron Green 6'4" | 230 lbs | LB Ben Davis | 2022 State IN , 6’4, 230 pounds, Linebacker, Senior
Myron Green Myron Green 6'4" | 230 lbs | LB Ben Davis | 2022 State IN currently occupies the number eight spot amongst senior linebackers, but I feel as though he will push for a spot further up the list by season’s end. Myron Green Myron Green 6'4" | 230 lbs | LB Ben Davis | 2022 State IN is a player who the offense must account for at all times. In blitz packages, Green attacks, and he puts the quarterback under immediate duress. When defending the run, Green plays downhill. Upon recognition of the play, Green gets after the back and makes the stop. Green plays with outstanding pursuit, and he gives all-out effort for 48 minutes.
Donell Mason Donell Mason 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Ben Davis | 2022 State IN , 5’10, 165 pounds, Wide Receiver, Senior
Donell Mason Donell Mason 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Ben Davis | 2022 State IN is the 12th-ranked wide receiver in the senior class. Mason is a very quick receiver, who has a crisp route-running ability. Mason shows a great understanding of the coverage that he is going up against, and how to get open. Mason is a great red zone receiver, finding a way to still get open, in spite of the fact that space is much more limited in that part of the field. After the catch is made is when Donell Mason Donell Mason 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Ben Davis | 2022 State IN shows the explosiveness that he possesses. Once he secures the reception, Mason turns on the jets, and he has the moves to evade tacklers- moves that often lead to touchdowns.
