As coach Brian Jackson and his staff hosted a National Kicking Rankings event in Davenport, more prospects emerged and learned from the showcase.
With special teams a major plus in any program, Coach Jackson and his staff made sure that everyone who attended – not only received additional exposure, but it was also about competition – right in time for the 2021 season.
With so many special teams showcases going on throughout the Sunshine State this past spring and summer, Coach Jackson and Coach Jeff Garner (long snapping director and recruiting director) welcomed some quality performers, who made the best of the last Sunday before the season to get some much-needed exposure.
When the day ended and the competition reached an amazing level, several standouts were awarded for their hard work.

Among the field goal competition winners included Class of 2022 standout Zachary Alvarez from Miami Monsignor Pace and Jacksonville Bishop Kenny Class of 2023 versatile standout Ethan Eddins Ethan Eddins K Jacksonville Bishop Kenny | 2023 FL .
Alvarez was also among the top performers in the kickoff competition. He was joined by Steinbrenner (Lutz) Class of 2023 rising star Collin Young.
There was plenty of competition for the punters – and Eddins and versatile (QB) Class of 2022 standout Griffin Wiltse Griffin Wiltse QB Lutz Steinbrenner | 2022 FL from Steinbrenner were among the best on this day.
LONG SNAPPERS STEP UP
There were several standouts who have been at several events this off-season and have made an impact – with Class of 2023 prospect Quillan Jimemez from Tampa Sickles and Apopka Class of 2022 prospect Jonah Mitchell were at the top. Mitchell is also an OL/DL for the Blue Darters.
