Big names like Colin Kadolph Colin Kadolph 6'0" | 190 lbs | RB Ankeny | 2022 State IA and Titus Christiansen Titus Christiansen 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB Southeast Polk | 2022 State IA are the most well-known, but there are some sleepers. Names that instantly come to mind in this category are Joshua Jenkins Joshua Jenkins 6'0" | 185 lbs | RB Des Moines Lincoln | 2022 State IA and Danny Rankins Danny Rankins 5'10" | 185 lbs | RB Valley | 2022 IA . In this article, I look at Joshua’s skill set and predict his stats for the upcoming season.
Frame: 6´0 184lbs
Hudl: Joshua Jenkins Joshua Jenkins 6'0" | 185 lbs | RB Des Moines Lincoln | 2022 State IA Hudl
Skill Set: Joshua Jenkins Joshua Jenkins 6'0" | 185 lbs | RB Des Moines Lincoln | 2022 State IA is clear and away Lincoln’s most talented player and one of the most talented players in the metro. Joshua has great speed that he uses to burst through holes and rack up yardage. He is also shifty and can make multiple tacklers miss in one play. On top of that, Joshua can be effective in the receiving game. He shows a great route running ability for a running back and could possibly be moved to receiver in college. Joshua also shows above-average blocking ability, making multiple lead blocks in his ADM camp film and also protecting the QB, picking up blitzes, and helping out his offensive linemen.
Recruitment: Joshua Jenkins Joshua Jenkins 6'0" | 185 lbs | RB Des Moines Lincoln | 2022 State IA had a pretty great summer, to say the least, attending camps at Missouri and Kansas State. Joshua told me those camps went really well, though he hasn’t yet had offers from either. I would assume they are waiting to see what he does this fall. Those two power five schools are not the only ones to show an interest, though. North Dakota, North Dakota State, Bemidji State, Wayne State, UNI, and Drake have shown a lot of interest in the Des Moines Lincoln back. With a big fall, Joshua could end up scoring a PWO from a Division One school. If he doesn’t get one, he can certainly go off at one of those FCS/Division Two schools.
Predicted Rushing Stat Line: 123 Carries, 986 Rushing Yards, 16 Rushing Touchdowns, 8.0 Yards Per Carry.
Predicted Receiving Stat Line: 22 Receptions, 130 Receiving Yards, 2 Receiving Touchdowns.
Standout Game: Week 3 Des Moines Lincoln vs Des Moines East. Running backs have big days against Des Moines East. Like Jaden Koger Jaden Koger 5'8" | 160 lbs | RB Roosevelt | 2021 IA did last year, I think Joshua Jenkins Joshua Jenkins 6'0" | 185 lbs | RB Des Moines Lincoln | 2022 State IA will go off against Des Moines East. I would assume 4 rushing touchdowns would be doable for Joshua.
Final Points: Joshua Jenkins Joshua Jenkins 6'0" | 185 lbs | RB Des Moines Lincoln | 2022 State IA is in a tough position.COVID practically ruined his junior year, but he has not let it stop him. If he has a big fall, he could become one of the premier running backs in his class. His speed and agility make him a defensive nightmare, and he has the work ethic to drastically improve his game. College coaches reading this, make sure to pay close attention to Joshua this fall.
