Henry O’Keefe – Bishop Dwenger – WR/CB – 5’10″ 165 lbs
O’Keefe’s best ability is speed. That ability was on full display Friday. O’Keefe took a few passes and turned the corner and was able to get some big chunks. In the return game, he was able to change the game. O’Keefe took a kickoff, split the return team, and raced down to the 1-yard line. If O’Keefe can keep making plays he’s going to garner some more attention from college programs.
Teddy Steele – Bishop Dwenger – WR/RB – 5’10″ 155 lbs
Steele is an absolute weapon for the Saints. He will line up at RB and then WR. On Friday, most of his damage was at WR. Steele took a pass over the middle, made a guy miss, and turned on the jets for a touchdown. Steele also had another score and helped separate themselves from Northside for the win. He found a hole at RB and shot into the endzone late in the game.
Aziz Dixon – Bishop Dwenger – RB – 5’9″ 170 lbs
Dixon was used as a change of pace back and did his job at a high-level on Friday. Dixon was able to move the chains a few times and extend some key drives. The Saints used him at the goal line and he was able to pick up an important score to help ice the game.
Brashawn Bassett Brashawn Bassett 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB North Side | 2023 State IN – Northside – QB – 6’1″ 193 lbs
Anytime Northside plays, Bassett is going to make plays. Friday was no different. Bassett was extending plays and running all over the Saints defense. He made a few fantastic throws and led them to a few touchdown drives. Bassett made one play where he made a guy miss and the defender was sliding past him as Bassett picked up the first down.
Rodney Woods – Northside – WR – 6’2″ 187 lbs
Woods was able to go up and use his frame and make the most of his opportunities on Friday. Woods is long and is very agile for his size and can run most routes on the route tree. He was giving full effort on blocking too and was able to pancake his defender on one play and it gave the offense some juice.
