Below, we will look at some of these prospects and their respective offers while breaking down what they offer at the next level.
Cooper Flanagan Cooper Flanagan 6'6" | 240 lbs | TE De La Salle | 2023 State CA , De La Salle
Flanagan is the type of prospect you see that has a chance to be playing on Sundays. Collecting a big time offer this past week from Notre Dame, his recruiting is beginning to pick up again as he is one of the best tight ends across the Nation. Having ideal size for that position at the highest level, he has a huge catch radius and the ability to block in the box and slip out when needed. A very balanced tight end which is rare nowadays, it will be very interesting to see who he ends up signing to in a couple years.
Tyson Dozhier, Shafter HS
Dozhier is a very mobile quarterback from the Central Valley and picked up his first offer from recently placed FCS school St. Thomas in Minnesota. His mobility, arm strength and pocket awareness sets him apart and he should continue to see FCS interest come his way through his final year of his high school career.
Brady Nassar, Amador Valley HS
A bit of an unknown before this off-season, Nassar is an extremely talented edge rusher that will wind up with 10+ offers by the time it’s all said and done and picked up a big time first offer from Washington last week. He has great size, strength and power at the POA while very physically developed while having developed tools to be a talented pass rusher from all over the field. It shouldn’t be long until he gets his second Power Five offer.
Drew Cowart, Oak Ridge HS
Cowart picked up his first offer from Middle Tennessee State, and others will follow soon. Playing for one of the top teams in the state, he is a very mobile quarterback that throws a nice deep ball with good touch and precision, while possessing a quick release and the ability to throw on the run and across his body when scrambling.
Sheldon Canley, Lompoc HS
Canley is one of the fastest and most explosive backs in the entire state, and recently committed to SDSU. He is versatile and can bounce it outside while also able to run tough in-between the tackles and catch the ball out of the backfield. Also flashing strong lateral movement abilities and short area quickness, he can make defenders miss in traffic while holding elite top end speed.
Jake Ripp, Los Gatos HS
Ripp exploded onto the scene over the past 6 months and making the transition to inside linebacker from defensive end. He committed to Boise State last week and is a big time get for the Broncos. Transforming his body and athleticism over the past year and a half, he is a downhill thumper with elite tackling abilities and can rush the passer as well. He shows good closing speed for his size and is extremely physical at the POA while diagnosing plays quickly and able to make plays outside of the box.
Dillon Golden Dillon Golden 6'4" | 220 lbs | TE St. Francis | 2022 State CA , Saint Francis HS
Golden is one of the best available tight ends in the Bay Area and recently picked up an offer from Bucknell. A high academic prospect with nice upside at the next level, he should start seeing more FBS and FCS schools show interest and offer him in the coming months.
