Maryland HS Football: Prince George County players to Watch

Prep Redzone looks at a few players that we think you should monitor in Prince George County this upcoming season. The majority of high school football teams in Maryland saw its 2020 season wiped out because of the COVID-19 pandemic. We gathered as much information as possible on returning 2022, 2023 and 2024 players. Some teams had little for me to go on but that may change towards the start of this season. <strong>BOWIE</strong> Stewart Harrington III/6-1/195/DE/2022 Despite being an undersized edge, Harrington utilizes his speed advantage to help him get past bigger linemen. JeVaughn Sargent/6-0/190/ATH/2023 Sargent plays quarterback for his team and that may be out of necessity. He can also play the wide receiver and free safety positions. <strong>CROSSLAND</strong> Anthony Johnson/5-10/150/DB/2022 <strong>DOUGLASS</strong> Chaz Lewis/5-10/175/RB/2022 Lewis plays in a Wing-T offense where you can see him lining up at the wing or fullback positions. Despite his small stature, he gets a lot of carries up the middle and produces positive Gaines. Terrell Bowie/5-11/150/WR/2022 Jaylen Green/6-2/190/WR/2023 <strong>WISE</strong> [player_tooltip player_id="90508" first="Jayden" last="Sauray"]/6-0/212/QB/2022 We consider Sauray to be a dual-threat quarterback prospect.During his sophomore season, he passed for 2,006 yards and 30 touchdowns. Griffith also rushed for 400 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground. That’s great production. Sauray is a Maryland commit. He's a solid inside-outside runner and has a nose for the end zone. Carter-Williams will make a big impact for Wise this upcoming season.
