For the seniors who have yet to receive collegiate interest or offers, this season will provide them with one more opportunity to show the world that they are worthy of playing at the next level.
There are many players who possess the potential to become contributing members of college rosters. Below is a list of eight seniors to keep an eye out for this season.
Jalen Shipp Jalen Shipp 5'8" | 175 lbs | LB Thomas Jefferson | 2022 State CO | Thomas Jefferson | 5’8”, 185lbs | MLB/RB
Shipp is an outstanding player who understands the importance of embracing program culture and the work needed to achieve ultimate success. He is a physical athlete who reads the field well and plays downhill from his backer position. As a rusher, he is able to use his size and strength to run through tackles. Shipp ended his junior year as a contributing member of a state championship winning team, making him a must-add to any recruiting radar.
Braelon Tate Braelon Tate 5'9" | 175 lbs | RB Legacy | 2022 State CO | Legacy | 5’9”, 178lbs | RB/DB
Tate is one of the state’s top offensive athletes who racked up close to 1,000 all-purpose yards over the course of six games. He is a fast and shifty athlete who is just as dangerous as a receiver as he is a runner. His dynamic playmaking abilities are easily seen whenever he steps onto the field. Tate is the type of player who can fill multiple roles offensively, which has helped him garner attention from notable college programs.

| Columbine | 5’10”, 215lbs | RB/LB
Cromwell is a powerful running back with breakaway speed, especially once he reaches the second level. Thanks to his size, strength, and willingness to keep his legs moving, Cromwell is a very tough player to bring down. Defensively, he is a run-stopper who tracks the ball carrier well and closes the distance very quickly.
MIles Dondelinger MIles Dondelinger 6'3" | 185 lbs | DB Broomfield | 2022 State CO | Broomfield | 6’3”, 185lbs | S
Dondelinger is a ball-hawking safety who possesses the versatility to play within the box for run support. He moves well in coverage by using his athleticism to stay with receivers while playing the ball in the air to disrupt pass attempts. Dondelinger is an excellent tackler who can deliver big hits and rarely misses in the open field.
Jeremiah Leeper Jeremiah Leeper RB Limon | 2022 State CO | Limon | 6’0”, 170lbs | RB/LB
Between his playing style and the simplistic old-school feel of his number 20 jersey, it is easy to watch Leeper and be reminded of the “Friday Night Lights” movie. He is a dynamic player who embodies three-down running back potential. He has great speed, acceleration, vision, and power that enable him to run through defenders. Leeper has made a name for himself as another talented player to suit up for Colorado’s most decorated football program, ending his junior season by helping the program win its 20th state title.
Peter Braun Peter Braun 6'3" | 215 lbs | DL Littleton | 2022 State CO | Littleton | 6’2”, 210lbs | DE/TE
Braun is a quiet and mild mannered athlete until he straps his pads on and steps on the gridiron. Once he flips that switch, he goes out and puts on dominant performances against his opponents. As an edge rusher, he is explosive off the line and uses aggressive strikes to quickly get into the backfield and cause disruption. Offensively, he is a sure handed tight end who immediately gets upfield and uses his size to run through defenders.
Junior Gonzales Junior Gonzales 5'11" | 200 lbs | LB Pomona | 2022 State CO | Pomona | 5’11”, 200lbs | LB
Gonzales will be entering his senior season with a new head coach and a new position. He is a tough and physical player who will be using his experience as a defensive lineman to help him be a leader in the box from the linebacker position. Gonzales had linebacker reps last season and continued to sharpen his skills during the offseason at camps and 7-on-7 matchups. Expect for him to bring his tenacity with him to the second level of the new Panthers defense.
Jaydin Hedelius Jaydin Hedelius 6'1" | 155 lbs | WR Berthoud | 2022 State CO | Berthoud | 6’1”, 155lbs | WR/DB
Hedelius is a player who has been a flying under-the-radar, but the work that he has been putting in during the offseason is starting to pay off for him. He is excellent at locating and tracking the ball in the air and going up to catch the ball at its highest point. His acceleration off of the line and through his breaks make him a difficult receiver to cover.
