Caleb Downs Caleb Downs 5'11" | 180 lbs | DB Mill Creek | 2023 State GA – Safety – Mill Creek
He may just be a junior, but it’s easy to see that Caleb Downs Caleb Downs 5'11" | 180 lbs | DB Mill Creek | 2023 State GA is one of the best safety prospects not only in Georgia, but in the entire South. He long, rangy safety has tremendous ball skills. He proved it with his game-winning INT against West Forsyth last year. He’s put together well at 6-foot-0 185-pounds and has great instincts for the position. He can run down defenders with ease, when the ball is in the air, Downs is going to go get it. He already looks like an SEC defender from a physical standpoint and has the film to back up why he holds so many major offers. The Mill Creek star holds offers from Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, Ohio State, among others. He made 57 tackles last year, recorded 4 INTs, and broke up 14 passes.
Travis Hunter Travis Hunter 6'1" | 165 lbs | ATH Collins Hill | 2022 State GA – ATH – Collins Hill
The best overall athlete in the entire country, the Collins Hill star has some of the best ball skills you’ll find in the entire country. The five-star FSU commit isn’t the biggest guy at 6-foot-2 175-pounds, but he plays much bigger than his size. Not only is he an outstanding cornerback prospect, but he’s a threat to score on offense every time he touches the ball. Hunter was unstoppable at wide receiver last season, leading the entire state in receiving with 137 catches for 1,746 yards and 24 touchdowns. He’s explosive, twitchy, and proved he’s an incredible route-runner who can create separation against any defensive back in the country. On defense, Hunter made 51 tackles and intercepted 8 passes. He’s a true do-it-all athlete who should make an instant impact for the Seminoles as a freshman in 2022. Look for him to be one of the state’s biggest playmakers once again for the Eagles as a senior this fall.
Sam Horn Sam Horn 6'4" | 190 lbs | QB Collins Hill | 2022 State GA – QB
One of the top 2022 QBs across the country, the big-armed gunslinger has SEC size already at 6-foot-4 190-pounds and is committed to play at Missouri. Horn is coming off an incredible junior season for the Eagles where he threw for over 3,900 yards and 41 TDs. He’s accurate on short and underneath passes, but he also knows how to push the ball deep down the field. He’s a big, long-armed kid at 6-foot-4 190-pounds who can really put some zip on the ball. He moves well in the pocket for his size and can scramble for key yards when the play breaks down. He’s got a lot of weapons to throw it around too this fall, so expect Horn to be one of the state’s leading passers towards the end of the year. He’s a top-100 player in the country and the No.2 ranked QB prospect in the state of Georgia.
Jacurri Brown Jacurri Brown 6'4" | 205 lbs | QB Lowndes | 2022 State GA – QB – Lowndes
One of the better QB prospects in the entire 2022 class, Brown is a dynamic talent who can really run with great size already at 6-foot-4 205-pounds. He makes it look easy at times when he takes off and is one of the best runners of any QB across the country. He has a raw, talented arm, and knows how to throw with some zip, but he still needs to learn and develop as a true QB. He has all the raw tools and athleticism to be a game-changing QB at Miami, and there’s still plenty of time for him to grow and develop as a passer. If he does that and keeps improving his arm overall, there might not be many defense who can stop the high-powered Lowndes offense this fall. He’s a true dual-threat QB, and in the right system, has the potential to put up a lot of points this season as a senior. Look for Brown to help Lowndes make a state-championship run in 7A this fall.
Zak Rozsman – QB – Walton
The rising-senior from Walton is a good-looking prospect committed to App State who took another step forward as a junior. The multi-year starter showed big play ability last fall as a junior where he passed for 1,741 yards and 12 TDs. The overall statistics won’t blow you away, but he showed on Friday nights that he can make plays in clutch moments. He also made plenty of plays on the ground this season, rushing for 304 yards and 7 touchdowns. The Raiders didn’t have the season that they expected last year, but they also played one of the toughest schedule’s in the state. Rozsman played against some of the state’s best defenses all year and proved that he has Power 5 potential.
Dylan Lonergan Dylan Lonergan 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Brookwood | 2023 State GA – Brookwood
One of the top 2023 QBs in the entire country, the two-sport star from Brookwood has one of the strongest arms you’ll find in any classification across the South. The Gwinnett County star has above average size at 6-foot-1 195-pounds, and he’s mobile enough to make plays with his feet as well. He’ll be missing some key weapons this fall as a junior, but Lonergan is still expected to have a monster season for the Broncos as a junior. As a sophomore last year, Lonergan threw for 2,230 yards and 20 TDs.
Cason Henry Cason Henry 6'6" | 280 lbs | OL Walton | 2022 State GA – OL – Walton
One of the top offensive line prospects in Cobb County, the Marietta native has good size and length at 6-foot-5 290-pounds and is committed to South Carolina. He’s a big, physical kid who moves really well for his size and shows good footwork to go along with his length. He’s excellent in the run game and can collapse the edge, but his length and quick feet allow him to pass-block effectively for his young QB, Zak Rozsman.
Stone Bonner – TE – Brookwood
The Broncos will be without last year’s two leading receivers so there is going to plenty of opportunities for rising senior, Stone Bonner. Already a big target in the passing game, Bonner could be one of the leading TE’s across the state due to his size, reliable hands, and the fact that he’ll be needed on just about every offensive possession. Broncos QB Dylan Lonergan Dylan Lonergan 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Brookwood | 2023 State GA is one of the best 2023 prospects in the country, and he’ll need weapons to throw too all season. He’s got a big arm, and he’ll be looking for Bonner early and often in just about every game. The big 6-foot-4 220-pounder is coming off a nice junior season where he caught 29 passes for 446 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was the team’s 3rd-leading receiver last year, and there’s a chance he’ll bee leading the team in 2021.
