August Prep RedZone Arkansas 2023 Rankings Risers

The rankings update is something that the scouts at Prep RedZone greatly enjoy. Being able to see and identify which prospects are rising through the rankings is satisfying to say the least. We are going to look at some of the 2023 prospects who have moved up in the rankings do to strong 7-on-7 play, excellent team camps, and excellent performance camps. The 2023 class has strong potential, and the upcoming season should see several prospects thrust into the spotlight.
Walker Davis Walker Davis 6'3" | 285 lbs | OL Benton | 2023 State AR -Offensive Line-Benton
The Benton offensive lineman had an excellent summer. Davis performed well at the Ole Miss performance camp and put on display excellent footwork and a good mix of power. Davis is an incredibly versatile offensive lineman. He can play every position on the offensive line, and it should come as no surprise that he is moving up in the 2023 rankings. Davis has the potential to have a strong season and set himself up well when the 2023 recruiting process heats up in November and December.
Quincy Rhodes Jr.-Linebacker-Jacksonville
Rhodes Jr. is one of the best linebacker prospects in the class of 2023 in the state of Arkansas. He plays with excellent speed and is all over the field for the Titans. Rhodes Jr. has excellent instincts and can diagnose a play quickly. Rhodes Jr. has the potential to be one of the states best linebackers this season. He has performed well at performance camps during the offseason and his recruiting should blow up this season.
Ta’Jon Sparks Ta’Jon Sparks 5'10" | 160 lbs | ATH Springdale | 2023 State AR -Athlete-Springdale
Sparks lines up all over the field for the Springdale Bulldogs. Sparks had an excellent summer in 7-on-7 tournaments and started to catch the eyes of scouts in the process. He had a terrific showing at the Siloam Springs 7-on-7 tournament, racking up six touchdowns over a two-game period. Sparks has the potential to have a monster 2021 season whether it be on the offensive side or the defensive side of the ball.
Jabrae Shaw Jabrae Shaw 5'11" | 190 lbs | ATH Little Rock Mills | 2023 State AR -Athlete-Watson Chapel
Shaw was excellent in performance camps at Memphis and Central Arkansas this summer. Shad had such an impressive camp at Memphis that he wound up earning a scholarship from the Tigers. Shaw was impressive last season at the quarterback spot as well as in the secondary for the Wildcats. Shaw has got the momentum rolling after a strong summer and the 2021 season should be a strong one for the Waston Chapel Wildcat.
Isiah Kendall Isiah Kendall 6'5" | 180 lbs | WR Newport | 2023 State AR -Wide Receiver-Newport
The Newport wide receiver is a matchup nightmare for opposing defensive coordinators. He spent all spring and summer continuing to improve his game. Kendall was extremely impressive in team camps as well as performance camps during the offseason. Kendall is looking to top his 2020 season where he caught 48 passes for 746 yards. He has shown that he is dangerous in the open field when used on jet sweeps. The Newport Greyhound has the chance to open some eyes during this upcoming season.
